Jillian and Amelia?

is jillian too matchy with amelia because they both have the “[name]LEE[/name]” sound in the middle? need an Aa name for second baby, also considering annabel and audrey.

I think [name]Amelia[/name] is a perfect match with [name]Jillian[/name], they go together really well. I don’t think the lee sound makes them matchy. I like [name]Annabel[/name] a lot and I like [name]Audrey[/name] but [name]Amelia[/name] is by far the best choice with [name]Jillian[/name] in my opinion.

[name]Amelia[/name] is a lovely name and it has so many nn’s it makes it a great choice. Nn’s [name]Mia[/name], [name]Leah[/name], [name]Milly[/name], [name]Amy[/name]

I think they are great together, but I may be partial as [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Gillian[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] are my top two girls names. Really, the emphasis of each name isn’t on the “lee” sound, so they don’t seem matchy to me.

[name]Alexis[/name]

I really like [name]Annabel/name with [name]Jillian[/name], as I am considering [name]Jillian[/name] for #2 and we already have an [name]Annabelle[/name]!

A single similar sound not at the beginning doesn’t make names similar.

I like [name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name]. They’re both very soft, flowy names but [name]Jillian[/name] seem harsh next to [name]Amelia[/name].

[name]Amelia[/name] and [name]Jillian[/name] dont seem to pair up in my mind…

names I can see with [name]Amelia[/name]:

[name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Sophie[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
[name]Madeleine[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]

I think many people pronounce [name]Jillian[/name] as [name]Jill[/name]-yan and [name]Amelia[/name] as A-meel-ya. So there isn’t a lee sound. There is a ya in both, though.

They make an excellent pair. Beautiful!

Interesting. I know most people pronounce [name]Amelia[/name] with three syllables (though I prefer four), but I’ve never heard anyone pronounce [name]Jillian[/name] with two syllables, only three. Is it a regional thing?

[name]Alexis[/name]

My mother in law pronounces our [name]Jillian[/name]'s name [name]Jill[/name]-yan, and it kinda drives me crazy! I had never heard it before…
