Job, Boaz, Shiloh—help me with some MN ideas

Big brothers are [name_m]Job[/name_m] [name_m]Marcellus[/name_m] and [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] [name_m]Apollos[/name_m] ([name_u]Joby[/name_u] & [name_u]Bo[/name_u]). Despite initial hesitation on my part, these names have been fine! Almost 6 years with the first. And the nn are adorable.

[name_m]Job[/name_m] was after the legacy of unfaltering faith in the [name_m]Job[/name_m] of the Bible.

[name_m]Boaz[/name_m] was after the quiet, understated faithfulness in the “[name_m]Prince[/name_m] Charming” of the book of [name_f]Ruth[/name_f].

We don’t know yet if baby is boy or girl, but [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] is the first name regardless. I have a thread on girl ideas elsewhere.

But middle names are hard to get right.
The Latin/Greek/[name_m]Roman[/name_m]-era MN seem to now be a theme. I’d like to keep it if possible but haven’t yet found a MN we all love (4 other kids weighing in here).

[name_m]Marcellus[/name_m] was a variation of [name_m]Marcel[/name_m], a man of God and my now deceased father in law.

[name_m]Apollos[/name_m] after a mighty man in preaching the Scripture.

We really like [name_m]Judah[/name_m] (“this time I will praise the [name_m]Lord[/name_m]!”) —but that doesn’t match the pattern/meanings of the others.

[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] [name_m]Judah[/name_m] is my favorite. It has a great flow to it and it’s pretty cute.

Thank you! Those are some of my top 2 as well.

I really don’t know if I’ll be able to abandon [name_m]Judah[/name_m] in the end, due to its meaning for us, and the flow with [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]! But these are tempting! Had also thought of [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m] after your suggestion of [name_f]Amadea[/name_f] for a girl! :slight_smile: [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] is quite a combo as well—it’s a wonderfully strong name.

I like [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] [name_m]Judah[/name_m] a lot (it’s 2 place names though)

My cousin just had a baby girl named [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] and they were team green as well.
