What do the Berries think of Johan for a boy? (Yo-han or Jo-han)

In general, do you think it would fit my style? I tend to like Paneuropean names (Mostly usable names French, German and Italian, some Russian and Romanian names as well but mostly GP) + I tend to like also more spunky names sometimes.

My names tend to be more leaning (not totally, just leaning) classic OR vintage and less ā€œmodern or inventedā€ like Kevin and Mia. They might lean romantic or literary / operatic / historical like Violette and AĆÆda or they might just be kind of ā€œsilent, simple, with an old classic vibe of centuries ago but without any significant only-reference, leaning in old forests and old talesā€ like Anne.

Some of the girl names I like are: Elsa, Frida, OcƩane, Clara, Adeline / Adelina, Antonia (new name crush, and maybe Antonina too), Magda, Leonor (or Eleonora), Violette / Violetta, Eponine, Juliette, Isadora, Minerva and Lavinia.

Some of the boy names: Ivan, Oscar, Hugo (new entry!), Arthur (Arturo too), Henry (Henri as well). Johan is probably replacing Hans (which was high in my list + mostly honouring a friend).

Johan is to honour (another) friend as well.

Some questions for you:

Can anyone think some middles for me suiting my style or using your own lists for Johan? One or two middles is fine

What is the aesthetic / vibe / feeling / imagery that you can picture? which kind of vibe?

What do you think of this name in general?

What would you name a sibling for it using your own or my own lists?

I knew a [name_m]Johan[/name_m] (yo-han), he was a quiet, studious boy, into stargazing :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I like it, I think itā€™s quite international and timeless.

For siblings, from your list I really like [name_m]Johan[/name_m] with [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], [name_f]Frida[/name_f], [name_f]Leonor[/name_f], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], or [name_u]Henri[/name_u]. Iā€™m not sure he pairs the best with some of the ā€˜frillierā€™ girls names.

[name_m]Johan[/name_m] is sort of rugged and cool, fair isle jumpers, comforting fires and work boots.

I can see it working on your list. For siblings, Iā€™d consider [name_f]Elsa[/name_f], [name_f]Frida[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Antonia[/name_f], [name_f]Leonor[/name_f], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Ivan[/name_m] and Henri!! For middles, [name_m]Johan[/name_m] [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and [name_m]Johan[/name_m] [name_m]Arturo[/name_m] would sound good :slight_smile:
