Although [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] was the seemingly no-brainer choice for us, as my due date nears I find my eye wandering. I’ve always had a super soft spot for [name_m]Johnny[/name_m] and am wondering if we should consider using [name_m]John[/name_m] with the nickname [name_m]Johnny[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] other kiddos are in my siggy. Our last name is Tys0n. Because of family considerations, [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]'s middle name would be [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] while [name_m]John[/name_m]'s middle name would be [name_u]Elias[/name_u].
I still really like [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] with your last name, because [name_m]John[/name_m] and Tys0n share an ‘n’ ending.
I think [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] works better, and it also means that none of your kids will share the same initial
I love both names, but I think that [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] fits best with your crew!
Ohhhh, I love both! You can’t go wrong. I also love [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_m]Johnny[/name_m]. It’s a great name. So is [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]…I guess I’m no help at all except to tell you that you have great taste!
Stay with [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]. You are right it is a no brainer and if you really love [name_m]Johnny[/name_m] then it could be your pet nickname for him.
I agree, stick with [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u], it’s great and I like it better with your other boys.
All your sons are currently monosyllabic, as is [name_u]Clare[/name_u]. I think [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] sounds best.
But of course we’re strangers judging only on phonetics, so if there is a deeper meaning to [name_m]John[/name_m] and you feel more connected to the name, that always trumps. [name_u]Elias[/name_u] is very handsome, but perhaps too ornate next to [name_m]Mark[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Paul[/name_m]. Is [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] a first-name contender, given St [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]? I do love [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] [name_u]Elias[/name_u]…
I personally prefer [name_m]John[/name_m] over [name_m]Andrew[/name_m].
I like [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] more. [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]John[/name_m] are pretty similar. Also, [name_m]John[/name_m] Tys0n shares than ohn-on ending which I don’t love. [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] Tys0n is perfect.
My grandmother did well then! [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] [name_u]Elias[/name_u] is my dad’s first and middle name which is why I’d like to use one of them. He’d be over-the-moon if we used both. But we do like shorter first names ([name_f]Katharine[/name_f] was suppose to be exclusively [name_f]Kate[/name_f] but that didn’t happen) so I think that is why [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] doesn’t appeal to either of us.
I agree that part of why [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] is so perfect on paper is that it’s longer to match [name_f]Katharine[/name_f]. It just strikes me as somewhat unfair to go with a name largely to fix my sibset. Of course, my hubby loves the name [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] so fixing the sibset is more of a side benefit of going with hubby’s top choice.
I do agree with the consensus [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] is our best option. Since it was such the obvious choice I really haven’t spent any time searching for names this pregnancy. Maybe my last minute 2nd thoughts are just a way to make sure I get my baby name fix in. Seems like for the past 2 weeks I’ve been debating [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]-[name_m]Henry[/name_m]; [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]-[name_u]Elias[/name_u]; [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]-[name_m]John[/name_m]; [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]-[name_u]Jude[/name_u]. I keep coming back to [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] because it does work on so many levels; it just doesn’t feel like mine yet.
