Which do you like and why? I personally prefer [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] because when I hear [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] I think of the Giver…
I’m a bit biased because my name is [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] and I chose it for myself, but I definitely prefer it over [name_m]Jonas[/name_m]. [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] feels more classic and timeless, and I also just like it better sound-wise. [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] also just makes me think of the [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] brothers, and I don’t really love that.
my son’s name is jonah so i obviously do prefer that option, although i do still like jonas. i feel howeever that jonas is too much of a surname for me to use it as a first.
[name_m]Jonas[/name_m]
I like both, but [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] is easier for me to say and feels a bit softer.
I love how [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] sounds.
[name_u]Jonah[/name_u]!
Both are lovely!
However my favourite is [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] I just the outdoorsy bright peaceful vibe of [name_u]Jonah[/name_u]. For me I can picture [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] running through a meadow of wildflowers with bright coloured sketches, a fun dinosaur T shirt and his curly hair blowing in the breeze. All you can hear is birds chirping and laugher. [name_m]Just[/name_m] such a lovely visual for a lovely name.
[name_u]Jonah[/name_u] - gentle and sweeter
I prefer [name_m]Jonas[/name_m]
I like both, but I prefer [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] because it’s my twin brother’s name. It’s extremely popular where we live and grew up, but to me it will always special because it’s connected to my brother.
I like [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] better just because I like how it sounds and how it’s spelt better than [name_m]Jonas[/name_m].
I like both but I think I prefer [name_u]Jonah[/name_u]. It just has this quiet strength to it. [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] gives me more of dark academia vibes. Not sure why! Both are lovely names.
@PenguinLife7 [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] 100%!!
I absolutely love [name_m]Jonas[/name_m]! It’s so smart, crisp and coolly understated.
[name_u]Jonah[/name_u]!
[name_m]Jonas[/name_m]! Like both but just prefer the stronger -as ending
[name_u]Jonah[/name_u] is one of my favorites as well. I love that it is a name with history and I love the sound of it. [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] is fine too but I do immediately think of the [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] brothers but that’s probably just me haha.
I prefer [name_m]Jonas[/name_m], it feels fresher and more unique than [name_u]Jonah[/name_u], which for me is just one among the many biblical -ah names (Jonah, [name_u]Elijah[/name_u], [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m], [name_m]Josiah[/name_m], Noah,…).
