I’m looking for a first name, to middle names [name]Jonathan[/name] or [name]John[/name] and [name]Makai[/name]! [name]Makai[/name] is pronounces [muh-KIE]. It’s a family tradition to have two middle names, one being hawaiian. I think I’ve looked through every name in the book but I always come back to this list. Please let me know what you think! If you have suggestions thats fine too, as I am not settled on any of these!
Ok, they are all great names but I’ll try & help narrow them down
[name]Levi[/name] [name]Jonathan[/name] [name]Makai[/name]- Great choice!
[name]Jack[/name] [name]Jonathan[/name] [name]Makai[/name]- almost feels too sing-songy
[name]Ryan[/name] [name]Jonathan[/name] [name]Makai[/name]- Ok, [name]Ryan[/name] feels a bit dated too me and the two ‘an’ endings aren’t the best flow
[name]Noah[/name] [name]Jonathan[/name] [name]Makai[/name]- this would be my top choice, but if popularity bothers you I’d choose one of the others
[name]Jameson[/name] [name]John[/name] [name]Makai[/name]- Are you pronouncing [name]Jameson[/name] as 3 syllable [name]Jam[/name]-uh-son or 2 syllable [name]Jameson[/name]?
[name]Benjamin[/name] [name]John[/name] [name]Makai[/name]- [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name], but again some of your other choices have better flow
[name]Isaac[/name] [name]Jonathan[/name] [name]Makai[/name]- Great Choice!
My top choices would be [name]Noah[/name], [name]Isaac[/name] or [name]Levi[/name]
Thank you alexa400! your feedback was exactly what I was looking for I’d love some more similar feedback. Also, from the suggestions there were many names that I loovvvee but could never use for various reasons. For example, I love [name]Lucas[/name] but my mom always tells me it sounds like mucas- yuck. I also love [name]Seth[/name] but I’ve met a few Seths that I was never fond of so there is that bad association. I also like [name]Eli[/name] a lot, but again, I associate it with someone I once knew. [name]Silas[/name] is ok but for some very very strange reason every time I hear that name I get the image of a creepy black cat weird, i know. Anyhow, more feedback would be magnificent
Oh, and thank you moxielove! Many on nameberry don’t like the two middle name thing. I tend to lean towards classic, timeless and traditional, so if it wasn’t for the family tradition I would only pick one middle name! But I’ve grown rather fond of the tradition It’s kind of fun looking at Hawaiian names, because they are so rich in meaning. I love the sea so [name]Makai[/name] which means ‘towards the ocean’ is perfect
