Because the show has combined [name_m]Jorah[/name_m]'s plotline with [name_m]Jon[/name_m] Connington’s, yeah, I’m thinking an heroic sacrifice is on the horizon. But it’s still a cool name.
I 100% agree!
I prefer [name_m]Jorah[/name_m], [name_u]Jory[/name_u] feels more feminine to me (maybe because I like [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]?)
I’ve never watched GoT so I can’t really say how I feel about that!
I prefer [name_m]Jorah[/name_m], with the option of [name_u]Jory[/name_u] as a nn.
[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t watch GoT so can’t comment on that…
I don’t watch that show, so I don’t know if it is a positive association or not, but I agree with @crispy. Split the difference. [name_m]Jorah[/name_m] nn [name_u]Jory[/name_u] would work just fine! [name_m]Jorah[/name_m] has an intriguing sound…and I grew up with a boy named [name_u]Jory[/name_u] (not short for anything) so I can see that working as well.
[name_m]Jorah[/name_m] in the books had zero character development and to think they somehow thought [name_m]Jon[/name_m] Connington is a heroic sacrifice kinda person when he is cunning af and probably will survive until real battle begins. I chose [name_u]Jory[/name_u] because unlike [name_m]Jorah[/name_m] the creepy slaver [name_u]Jory[/name_u] was a heroic man with a death that had impact on me.
I prefer [name_u]Jory[/name_u].
