Yes! The only reason I like [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] is because it gives the nn [name_u]Joss[/name_u] or [name_u]Jody[/name_u].
Maybe my accent is different from everyone else because I pronounce [name_u]Joss[/name_u] ‘jawz’ (like Jaws the shark) not [name_m]Josh[/name_m]

Thanks again for your comments, everyone! We are starting to like [name_u]Joss[/name_u] more and more as a nickname, if we go with [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] as either a first or a middle.

dapplegray – so cool that you’re friends with [name_u]Joss[/name_u] Christensen! It was his name that got us thinking about [name_u]Joss[/name_u] for [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], and he seems like a nice guy. Very talented. Interesting that he also gets [name_m]Josh[/name_m] sometimes, and good to know that it doesn’t bother him.
