What are your thoughts on [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] and [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] as first names? I have thought about [name_u]Josie[/name_u], but I don’t think I love it (yet).
I love [name_f]Jovie[/name_f]! It’s so sweet, happy, and spunky. I think it fits on your list. [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] is really nice as well. I think it would fit your list, too. I can see you using either, both for the sounds/style and because you like uplifting word names. (I don’t know if [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] is actually derived from jovial but I definitely make that connection.)
I love [name_f]Jovie[/name_f]! Something about [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] feels a little, I don’t know, fake [name_u]French[/name_u]? It reminds me of [name_u]Eiffel[/name_u] [name_u]Tower[/name_u] keychains lol. It’s arguably a pretty sound but I don’t like it as much.
Both are a great fit for your list, though (more so than [name_u]Josie[/name_u] I think).
I like [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]. I have never met a [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] so it doesn’t feel overdone for me. [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] doesn’t roll off the tongue as easily to me.
Bon [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] and [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]!
But I love your choices like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Bethany[/name_f], [name_f]Faith[/name_f], [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
Jolie feels sweet and sunny. [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] is sparky and sweet. I can see [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] alongside [name_f]Miracle[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f] etc and [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] beside [name_f]Adalynn[/name_f], [name_f]Kaydence[/name_f] and [name_u]Macey[/name_u]
I liked [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] until another poster said it sounds like juvie. Now I can’t unhear it! [name_m]Even[/name_m] then I prefer [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] over [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]. I could see both working with your list, but I think [name_u]Josie[/name_u] would work better.
While I don’t mind the sound or look of either, I don’t think they feel quite substantial enough on their own. I’d prefer them as nicknames. They go well enough with the rest of your list though!
I’m not 100% sure I know how they’re pronounced. I say [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] like jo-LEE and [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] like JO-vee. I prefer [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] because it seems easier to pronounce/pair with other names, plus I think the subtle [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] Deschanel reference is cute.
