Jovie Jaymes?

What do you think of the name [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_m]Jaymes[/name_m] for a girl? I’m open to other one-syllable middle names, but not [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (my other daughter’s middle name). Thank you and PLEASE be honest!

I really like [name_f]Jovie[/name_f], and I dont mind [name_m]Jaymes[/name_m]. But Im not loving the combination of the two, especially paired with the [name_f]Grace[/name_f].

If you’re loving the alliteration I’d suggest [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u], or [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]

Other suggestions…

[name_f]Jovie[/name_f] is so sweet! I love it. Equal parts vibrant, wild, and warm—with a Christmassy association. I’d be really excited to meet a [name_f]Jovie[/name_f]! (Plus potential nn [name_u]Jo[/name_u]? I mean, it’s super sweet!)

[name_u]James[/name_u] is a great sound, and I love the alliteration with [name_f]Jovie[/name_f]. [name_u]James[/name_u] on a girl, too, is a fun choice! However, if there wasn’t any significant reason (eg. honoring someone named [name_u]Jay[/name_u], perhaps) to use the spelling ‘Jaymes,’ I’d stick to the streamlined spelling ‘James’ myself. Otherwise, it seems unnecessarily complicated to add an extra letter and make the name less intuitive to spell. That’s my personal two cents!

I like [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] but struggle not to think of [name_m]Jon[/name_m] Bon [name_u]Jovi[/name_u]

[name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_m]Jaymes[/name_m] is pretty cute, but admittedly, I’m not wild on [name_m]Jaymes[/name_m] (as a name, not just on a girl)

Maybe…

[name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
[name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_u]Jade[/name_u]
[name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u]
[name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f]
[name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]

Such a cool, spunky combo. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!

:point_up_2:t2: what Hazel said! Jovie James is so cool

I actually really like [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_m]Jaymes[/name_m], it has character and some sassiness to it, it’s cute!

I think [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] is really cute! I think I might prefer [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] to [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] Jaymes/James, and I really like [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] paired with (Name) [name_f]Grace[/name_f]!

To be perfectly honest, it is not my style at all but I will explain why. [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] is technically fine. I don’t particularly like the sound very much and I find it really incomplete and juvenile on its own, but I think it’s a good nickname for [name_f]Jovana[/name_f] or something similar. However, objectively it’s fine. I think [name_u]James[/name_u] on a girl is a little try-hard, trendy, “influencer” type name and the spelling [name_m]Jaymes[/name_m] only amplifies that. I think the alliteration and pairing of a cutesy, new-age nickname first name [name_f]Jovie[/name_f] with a trendy middle name like [name_m]Jaymes[/name_m] dates this to a very “2023 baby” and is difficult for me to imagine a grown adult pulling off this name in a professional environment.
