Thoughts on [name_f]Joy[/name_f]?
I’m kind of conflicted about it.
I like that it’s bright and happy and bright red and Christmas-sy.
I dislike that there are words like “joystick” (for computer games) and not sure about the “oy”-sound.
I do think it makes a nice and happy middle name.

Absolutely love [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is gorgeous! She’s happy, bright, melodic,
buoyant virtue name that feels very cottagecore and peaceful. I really love [name_f]Joy[/name_f]! Concerning your negative associations I never think ‘joystick’ and I strongly believe nobody would associate the name [name_f]Joy[/name_f] with ‘joystick’ and ‘oy’ sound isn’t that emphasised I think the J sound is more pronounced.
Regarding [name_u]Holly[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] I think this name is very happy and joyous the definition of [name_u]Christmas[/name_u]

[name_f]Joy[/name_f] is bright and sweet! I wouldn’t have thought of joystick, but I can imagine it might be a tricky name to wear if you’re not (outwardly or inwardly) a naturally joyful, upbeat person?
As a middle, I think it’s charming!

I really love [name_f]Joy[/name_f]! It’s strange because it’s not really a name that I would normally be attracted to but she has such a, well, joyful aura to her. She’s short and simple and sweet and I think that plays into the beauty of the name. Everyone will know how to spell and say her name but it’s not really common and you don’t hear it too much. It makes a very sweet middle name but I think [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is actually slightly more unexpected as a first name (especially nowadays) so I prefer it in that position. It really is a charming and bright name.
[name_u]Holly[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is a fun and bouncy combo. If this baby were born near [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] I would find it a bit too on-the-nose for me, but if she wasn’t then it would be lovely.
