So my DH and I have been calling baby [name]Isaac[/name] the last couple of days but were drawn to [name]Jude[/name] again after hearing Hey [name]Jude[/name]
and have it back in the running. [name]One[/name] of my concerns with [name]Jude[/name] is pairing it with middle name beginning with a D (family name [name]David[/name] or [name]Davidson[/name])⦠does it run together too much?
Secondly, my momās closest girlfriend is [name]Judy[/name] and I often refer to her as [name]Jude[/name] - this doesnāt bother me as I donāt think of a little boy being like her but, is it weird?
Another concern that I saw on another website was that it was ā[name]German[/name] word for Jew, Jews were forced to be labeled [name]Jude[/name] on the yellow stars, etc.ā which is something I donāt want to offend anyone with and certainly donāt want a connection to a Naziā¦
So, [name]Jude[/name] [name]David[/name]/son Be@tty Does it work? Is it offensive or am I over thinking it?
Itās not offensive, donāt worry. Itās not a common reference at all, to my knowledge.
[name]Jude[/name] [name]David[/name] does run into each other a bit, and [name]Jude[/name] D. is exactly like [name]Judy[/name]. It would other me personally, but for you the family connection may outweigh that unfortunate flow. Itās not the end of the world or a deal-breaker, it just depends on whatās more important to you. If you would be just as happy with another Middle or first name to improve the flow, Iād suggest using it, but otherwise go for [name]Jude[/name] [name]David[/name].
The friend named Judy wouldnāt bother me at all, though people may think your son was named after her.
I like [name]Jude[/name] [name]Davidson[/name] better due to the flow. [name]Jude[/name] [name]Davidson[/name] Be_tty is very handsome and with your family connections, very fitting.
I think if your last name started with a D, then that could be problematic, only because first and last names are said out loud much more often than first, middle, and last names. [name]Just[/name] my opinion. I love the name [name]Jude[/name]! (but our last name starts with D)
There was a lengthy post/thread re: the german use of the word ājudeā. If I am able to find it I will attach it here. There were many great points made.
