I really like the name [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. I’ve been thinking about middles, and [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] seemed fitting. It’s also an honor name, but it’s gender switched. The child would be make but the person who is named [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is female. I think it works, but do you guys have any opinions?
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is pretty feminine, but if he’s being named after someone with that name, I think it works! You really don’t hear middle names that much, anyways.
I know a fair few MacKenzies of each gender so it wouldn’t bother me. It’s a lovely combo too
I agree with the other posts, I don’t think it matters too much that McKenzie is used more for girls nowadays. It’s still unisex. And [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] flows great!
Good luck.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is so dashing!
I have only every met one [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], and he was male, so for me its still a very masculine name, especially since the ‘[name_m]Mac[/name_m]’ part mean ‘son of’. I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is lovely.

I think it works very well. I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u], and I think [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] works fine for a boy, especially as a middle name, and as an honor name it’s perfect!
Great combo! Not too feminine at all- it’s refreshing not to be afraid to honour a female family member with a male name.
[name_u]MacKenzie[/name_u] is unisex, in fact as a [name_m]Mac[/name_m]- name it means “son of” so I’ll never buy any argument that it is “too feminine”. I think you totally should use it especally if it is an honor name with meaning for you.
I agree–[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is fantastic! [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]'s one of my favorite unisex names, and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] works flawlessly. It’s instantly become one of my favorite [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] combos (along with [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] [name_m]Bram[/name_m]).
Sometimes I worry that people will get territorial with unisex gender swapping names, but I’m an [name_u]Ashley[/name_u], and it’s my uncle’s brother’s name, and nobody seemed to have any issues there, so why not? [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]'s fantastic.
Good luck!
No problem at all - I really like the combo and how you’re honoring a female by using her name on a boy.
I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]! This combination truly ‘wows’ me!!!
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is awesome! I love it! [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] isn’t really one way or the other to me, because I know both a boy and a girl who own the name.
I really love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], it’s very handsome, and masculine in a gentler way. A lovely choice.
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is wonderful! I also I love you are honoring a female within a male name, that alone is so cool. You hear plenty of girls with male honor names, but few boys with female honor names.
It’s a beautiful name, especially since it has great meaning for you. I don’t think [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is a feminine-sounding name and I love honoring a woman in a boy’s name (considering doing this myself). HOWEVER, I would think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is more likely to be a girl based on the name alone. [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] is very popular for girls/young women where I live. Whether those assumptions would bother you is really a personal matter, though.
