Particularly interested in British people’s snap judgement on the name [name_u]Jude[/name_u], or at least the opinions of those with a sociocultural understanding of [name_m]Britain[/name_m] in 2018 purely for relevance to me, not because there is anything wrong with anyone else’s opinions ”
[name_f]Edit[/name_f] - meant to make it a poll, whoops, but too late now! Was after what you would think about the name instinctively e.g. Chav, Hippy, Religious, Posh, Working Class, Middle Class ??
Thank you
I’m British, and I love the name [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. I would place it most likely in a middle class family. I think it has biblical connections, but the Beatles and literary connections are stronger to me. I think it has a kind of quiet strength to it.
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name, on the rise but still not too popular, and I’d agree with the assessment of solidly middle class. It’s slightly cool and jazzy but also a good, solid, serious pick.
It’s a good name, it feels very middle class to me. It feels quite flexible to me, like it would fit a lot of different people with lots of different personalities.
I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] - I wouldn’t really tie it to any social class/group. It feels both trendy and vintage at the same time, so I think it would be used by anyone really
Thank you everyone - your positive comments are a relief! I named my baby son born in [name_u]March[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u], but had a funny comment the other day and I do have a tendency to overthink things!
Jessiemxo - love your taste ” if I have a girl next, she will be a [name_f]Thea[/name_f] x
