Judith or Aviva

Vastly prefer [name_f]Aviva[/name_f]. I don’t think [name_f]Judith[/name_f] is ready for revival. [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] has this spunk and freshness that I love. [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] is one of my favorites!

I think [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is actually sorta modern as a nickname and I like [name_f]Judith[/name_f] much better than [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] (the meaning is nice and it sounds pretty but it reminds me of [name_m]Avon[/name_m] and I have mediocre personal connotations).
Also like [name_f]Judie[/name_f]!
You could even use [name_f]Dee[/name_f] as a nickname (which reminds me of Chickadee which would be a cute pet name as well) but that might be a stretch.

I prefer [name_f]Judith[/name_f], and [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] holds a special place in my heart. [name_f]Judith[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] is beautiful! My middle name is [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], so I love that as well…but I get what you’re saying popularity wise.

[name_f]Aviva[/name_f] is fresh and distinctive

I am British but live in [name_f]Canada[/name_f] and have a friend here called [name_f]Aviva[/name_f]. When I first met her I immediately thought ‘insurance company!’ but now I’ve totally forgotten that, and I can totally see how it’s a beautiful name.

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_u]Jude[/name_u] for either a boy or a girl, but I know 3x adult [name_f]Judith[/name_f]'s who all go by [name_f]Judy[/name_f] or [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and they all hate the name [name_f]Judith[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]June[/name_u] or [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] (nickname [name_f]Juni[/name_f]) instead?

I have been loving [name_f]Judith[/name_f] lately! Can’t use it myself, so I vote you do!

I have to cast my vote for [name_f]Judith[/name_f]. I’ve always liked it, and I think it’s ready for a comeback. [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] is nice, but quite similar to many popular names today: starting with an e or a, ending in a, and having no consonant clusters . Also - V is really on trend right now. This may or may not be a bad thing, and if you like names like [name_f]Elianna[/name_f] or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], it may absolutely be the way to go, and it would be a great choice. There’s a reason people say it sounds modern and fresh. But - [name_f]Judith[/name_f]. So fabulous and strong. Good luck making a difficult decision!

I’m a sucker for both names but since they are so different, I agree with PP’s it will probably become clear when the baby’s born.

[name_f]Judith[/name_f] is classy and stable, a good solid, strong name and if the child ends up being a bit more flamboyant than her staid name nn [name_f]Dita[/name_f] might be an option or [name_u]Jude[/name_u] for a girl who fits her name, [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] is lively and fresh but still strong. Either way, the names are versatile and gorgeous.

You could always sandwich them together [name_f]Judith[/name_f] [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], [name_f]Judith[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Aviva[/name_f], [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] [name_f]Judith[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] etc are all lovely and have a lovely balance.

I much prefer [name_f]Judith[/name_f] - it feels strong and classy to me, and would be lovely on a little one. [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] feels very current and to me and just blends in with all the [name_f]Aria[/name_f], [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f], [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], Arlia, [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] group of currently popular sounds.
