Julia?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_f]Julia[/name_f]? I’m thinking of adding her to my (massive) UC! What sort of girl do you imagine when you this name? Is it dated? TIA :blue_heart:

Which do you prefer?

Julia is very pretty! I think of it as being very timeless/classic, not dated. And I can imagine it suiting lots of different people, possibly because I’ve known several so I have a range of associations. I prefer [name_u]Julie[/name_u] personally–it feels a little sweeter and slightly offbeat in a fun way (imo)–but I’m guessing that would raise a few eyebrows for being dated.

I love [name_f]Julia[/name_f]! So beautifully classic, without the drama of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s dated, but I am not a good judge of that, as I could give a rip about “popularity” or “name trends”. I just love what I love and that should be the most important thing for a child. I picture a sweet, very intelligent girl with beautiful skin and thick, luscious, dark hair. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] colored eyes and thick lashes. A little bookish, a little quirky, quick to smile/jest but no class clown. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] fits in with strength and respect and inner beauty wherever she goes.

Oh this is so funny because I have two nieces (sisters) whose names are [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]!

Aw that’s sweet :blue_heart:

Thank you!

I’ve always loved [name_f]Julia[/name_f]! She’s so classy and timeless, but even more than that, I worked with a really lovely [name_f]Julia[/name_f] years ago and mainly love the name because of her. I do admit to preferring [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]—I LOVE [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]!—but [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is still a huge love.

I do like [name_f]Julia[/name_f]! I don’t find it dated at all – [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is perfectly timeless and classy. And, while [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is spunky and cool, I personally do prefer [name_f]Julia[/name_f]’s softer, more elegant sound and feel.

I’m a [name_f]Julia[/name_f] and I like my name! I don’t imagine it as a specific type of person because I’ve met [name_m]Julias[/name_m] who are very different from me. I don’t think it’s dated, it was more popular in the 1990s when I was born than it is now but it was never hugely popular and it’s still pretty familiar. I much prefer it to [name_f]Eliza[/name_f].

Oh no, don’t make me pick between the two of them!! I absolutely love them both, they’re lovely and classic but still feel fresh and not overdone.
In the end, I voted for [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] since technically that name is in my usercard, but honestly I love [name_f]Julia[/name_f] probably just as much! (the only reason I don’t have [name_f]Julia[/name_f] in my UC is because [name_u]Julien[/name_u] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are both in there already)
