[name]Hi[/name]! I’m posting for my family friend and her husband who are expecting baby #2, a boy, in the coming weeks! [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] have a daughter, [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name] Sparks, and have chosen the name [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] Sparks for their son. [name]Do[/name] you like this name? [name]Do[/name] you like it with [name]Poppy[/name]'s name? They’d appreciate your feedback!
[name]Hi[/name]! I think that [name]Julian[/name] is a handsome name and that [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] flows well, but next to [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name] Sparks, [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] feels a bit “safe” and bland. I guess I expect something equally adventurous for [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name]'s sibling.
Best wishes to your friends!
Well, their other options were actually [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] Sparks and [name]Jagger[/name] [name]Percival[/name] Sparks, but they apparently got some negative feedback about those names, so they went back to the drawing board and came up with [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] Sparks. What do you think of those? Thanks for the comments; they will be passed along.

I really love [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Phineas[/name], but [name]Jasper[/name] Sparks is pretty “sp” heavy. I do like [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] a lot (I think it’s very handsome)…it’s just that I picture something more unexpected with [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name], if that makes sense.
Best wishes to you!
To add to the above, I think that [name]Julian[/name] feels safe to me because in the US, [name]Julian[/name] is very popular, ranking #61. I’m not sure where your friends are, but [name]Julian[/name] may indeed be more unusual there.
Good luck!
They are indeed in the US. And, [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] was my favorite, too! I didn’t think the “sp” sound was a problem…is it? Maybe I can convince them to go back to that name! I think it sounds fantastic with [name]Poppy[/name]!

I love Japser [name]Phineas[/name], too, and think it’s perfect with [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name]. When I say [name]Jasper[/name] Sparks, I hear a lot of P, but they may not bother them, and there’s nothing wrong that!
[name]Do[/name] you know what else they were considering?
Wow, [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name] is quite a name. [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] does seem rather um usual in comparison but I do love the combination and if they’re happy with it then it sounds perfect:)
Yes I like it and it is a good sibset too.
Okay, [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] want to know which name should be used, [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] or [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] Sparks, to go with [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name]. These are the only two they are considering at this point. Thanks so much, you all!
I think [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] fits better with [name]Poppy[/name]'s name… however the SP-heaviness of the name does stand out to me. But again, if it doesn’t bother them then I say go for it.
I also think that [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] is a handsome name, but it does sound a little less exciting and takes a back seat to the adventurous and spunky [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name].
I think [name]Jasper[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] Sparks works better with [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Jezebel[/name].
But I love the soft handsomeness of [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] Sparks. [name]Don[/name]'t like the “sp” heaviness of [name]Jasper[/name] Sparks. [name]Julian[/name] Sparks would be easy to live with for a whole lifetime. I think his whole lifetime is more important than matching his name with his sister’s name.
Okay, [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] REALLY appreciate your comments, and, although they love [name]Jasper[/name], they don’t want a name that gives off a harsh sound (with the whole SP [name]Jasper[/name] Sparks thing). They are wondering if a name like [name]Jensen[/name] [name]Phineas[/name] or [name]Jensen[/name] [name]Percival[/name] Sparks would be better, or if they should stick with [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name]? [name]Phoebe[/name] is concerned that [name]Julian[/name] may be too classic to fit with [name]Poppy[/name].
By the way, for those who are wondering about why they have chosen the reverse initials for their children, this is what [name]Phoebe[/name] told me: “[name]Both[/name] [name]Jack[/name] and I have middle names beginning with S, [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Sarah[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] [name]Sullivan[/name], respectively. We didn’t want to continue this with our children, though, so we thought it would be cute to give our female children names beginning with P (to honor me, mommy) and our male children names beginning with J (to honor [name]Jack[/name], daddy), and then their middle name would begin with the other parent’s first initial. It worked out great with [name]Poppy[/name], because we found two cool names that we adored. But, we are having a harder time with baby number 2, a boy, which is why we appreciate your comments and help so much. And, thanks to our friend (lemon) for helping us out here. [name]Love[/name] you all!” Haha, [name]Phoebe[/name] is a bit talkative sometimes, so I thought I’d let her tell it to you rather than me. Thanks!
I prefer [name]Jasper[/name] over [name]Julian[/name], especially as a brother to [name]Poppy[/name]. Not only do the two flow well together, [name]Jasper[/name] feels much more masculine, considering his sister has such a feminine name.
I am very fond of [name]Jasper[/name] and I love it with [name]Poppy[/name] but the problem that I see is that [name]Jasper[/name] Sparks is a bit heavy in sp sound.
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] is handsome and [name]Julian[/name] Sparks works well.
[name]Jensen[/name] [name]Perry[/name] I like this combo, it is kind of modern, trendy but traditional too. It’s nice.
also
[name]Rohan[/name]
[name]Alister[/name]
[name]Archie[/name] (I don’t like though)
[name]Dashiell[/name] would be nice
I still love [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] the most. [name]Julian[/name] is one of my favorite boys’ names - that is probably why I prefer it.
Between [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] and [name]Jensen[/name], I far prefer [name]Julian[/name]. (No contest!) [name]Jensen[/name] feels too trendy to me, but that’s just me.
So, with these final two choices in mind, I’ll cast my vote for [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] Sparks. I always thought this was a very, very handsome name.
If they’re still searching for J names, they may also like:
[name]Jeremiah[/name], [name]Joaquin[/name], [name]Jericho[/name], [name]Jeremy[/name], [name]Josiah[/name], and [name]Jefferson[/name] (a bit S heavy with Sparks, though)
Best wishes to you all!
[name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] have chosen [name]Julian[/name] [name]Perry[/name] for their son, who is now scheduled to arrive by C-section on Friday afternoon (apparently there were some complications today and doctors wanted to get the baby out, but they don’t anticipate any troubles for baby or mom). Thanks for your help!
