Hiya berries. [name]Just[/name] a quick question: I’ve got a vengeful character whose name is being waffled on. She’s a Victorian-era assassin, tall and blonde, who’s mentally unhinged. She’s also incredibly sadistic and manipulative, and has a younger sister named [name]Elsa[/name].
Should she be [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Juliet[/name]?
I think [name]Juliet[/name] works really well. I can picture an [name]Elsa[/name] and a [name]Juliet[/name] being siblings.
However, I think [name]Rose[/name] is more Victorian-era-esque.
But, push comes to shove, I still say [name]Juliet[/name].
The character reminds me of [name]Rosalie[/name] from Twilight, who had a similar personality and appearance (i went through a twistage, sigh). I think [name]Juliet[/name] is a bit more distinctive because of that, and is also an interesting and ironic contrast to the sweet and innocent [name]Juliet[/name] of [name]Shakespeare[/name]'s [name]Romeo[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name]. Also, I agree with aj_bear that it woks well with [name]Elsa[/name] as a sibset.
Thanks, guys! You both raise good points. Think I’ll stick to [name]Juliet[/name]
I’m for [name]Juliet[/name] too.
