[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] works, or is too much of a stretch?
I like [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] very much (and it’s an honor name for us) but have poor associations with [name_u]Julie[/name_u] as a name. Would not want to use it ever as a nickname. [name_f]Nor[/name_f] [name_f]Julia[/name_f].
But [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], we like. I also like [name_f]Etta[/name_f].
A person can give any nickname or pet name they wish to their child, it doesn’t have to necessarily go with the full name. That being said, I think [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] go very well with [name_f]Juliette[/name_f].
[name_f]Lettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] work perfectly. I also like [name_f]Jette[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f], [name_f]Lita[/name_f], Liette, [name_f]Jewel[/name_f], and [name_u]Jules[/name_u] as nicknames for [name_f]Juliette[/name_f].
I would call her [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] with no nick names, but [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] is cute and works well. I know a [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] who goes by [name_u]Jules[/name_u].
I think [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] work well for [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]. I’d be prone to choose [name_f]Etta[/name_f] as well. [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] has a very different feel to me than [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] so it feels a little odd but if it feels similar to you then I think it works just as well.
I’d stick w/[name_f]Juliette[/name_f], no nn. [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] puts me in mind of the drunken abusive mother of the ‘[name_f]Tara[/name_f]’ character on Trueblood.
