So I have been inspired by one of my favourite berries @seawillow who was inspired by another lovely berry @SparkleNinja18 to create my own post as I just love this concept!
So of course my leading lady is Lilia Elizabeth Ella (picture below in case this plays a part in whether the names you choose for my quartet)
Anyways here are the options to complete the quartet
Rose Leonora Christina
Hope Euphemia Helen
Iris Laura Margaret
Clara Delphi Alexandra (KLAARA pronunciation)
Eloise Persephone Ann
Sofia Rooney Kate
Fern Esther Lockhart
Cordelia Penelope Coast
Genevieve Daisy Marigold
Marina Evangeline Clover
Clementine Verity Angela
Imogen Mary Dorothea
Juliet Billie Meadow
Seraphina Rosemary Pearl
Delphi Lavender Marianne
Theodora Winter Janet
Edith Eleanor Ruby
Belle Filomena Sunday
Sylvie Evelyn Christiana
Flora Daphne Caroline
Evie Susannah Emerald
I’m so looking forward to finding out which names you’d choose from my list to finish of the quartet and why you would choose them
With [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f], I’ll make the case for:
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Christina[/name_f] - I couldn’t not choose [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are just made to be sisters - both have this sweet but sophisticated feel, light and lively, refined and charming. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Christina[/name_f] is such a beautiful, powerful combo - I love the cadence and the balance!
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] are another two names that just work in my head as sisters! They’re both clear and bright, and, like with [name_f]Rose[/name_f], elegant, and sophisticated but with a little twist to them! [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] is such a fun, unexpected middle, lively and sweet like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] feels classic and solid, like [name_f]Christina[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]!
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] - I feel like I went back and forth on so many combos for this spot, but [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] won out in the end. Like [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], it has familiar but distinctive sounds, like [name_f]Rose[/name_f], it’s strong and feminine, like [name_f]Clara[/name_f], it feels literary and fresh! [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] is so fun to say; it feels balanced, cheerful and serious all at once!
(Edith [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Hope[/name_f] [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] were the closest contenders for that final spot!)
I would definitely see [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Marianne[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Hope[/name_f] [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f] or [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] after [name_f]Lilia[/name_f].
I also like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], but I would not choose another -a or -ia name.
For [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] Ella’s siblings, I would choose
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Christina[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], & [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f]: I love the flowery theme with [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] together! I feel like [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] are both grand and flowy, and then the lovely [name_f]Christina[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] just fit right together too!!
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]: I love how each of the girls get their own flower! I feel like [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] goes right with [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Christina[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f] as well!!
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]: I really love [name_f]Flora[/name_f] (all of the flowers!!) to round out this set. All the names have the same style of first, first middle, and second middle, and go so nicely together!!
Lilia, Rose, Delphi and Iris
Or
Lilia, Hope, Sylvie and Marina
Take or leave, I wouldn’t have Laura after Iris, just to avoid “slaw”; maybe Christine instead of Christina (though I remember earlier thread!) and maybe Eve (nn Evie) instead of Evie.
@Greyblue thank you for responding and giving such detailed feedback it was so lovely to read
@McCharlie ahhh thank you so much for responding you liked so many of names which is lovely to see!!
@BethT2008 thank you so much if you met her you’d also think she’s the most mischievous toddler you’d ever meet! I love Marina so thank you for saying so
@winterlyricalfox thank you so much for saying such positive stuff about my names! I also love the flowers together it’s a very flower power sibling set
@heartwings thank you for grouping the names together like that it’s nice to see them as trios they look fab!
@EloiseT thank you so much for taking the time out to respond it’s really sweet. I also appreciate the feedback regarding Iris do you think Iris Margaret Laura works better?
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]: [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are both floral. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Laura[/name_f] are stalwart classics, as are [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]: [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] both feel delicate, ornate, religious (lily - purity, seraphim - angels). [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] are both classic and rich in nicknames. [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] are short and sweet, with a jazzy 1920s feel.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]: botanical first names. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] are both classics, as are [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].
[name_m]Alas[/name_m], [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] flows best, I think! I am a bit nutty about ending and starting letters so if you don’t hear the S of [name_f]Iris[/name_f] dragging to the L, pretend I didn’t mention! [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Emily[/name_f] would possibly work better (or a three syllable name) if switching [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] to second spot.
Hey [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] thank you for responding I love [name_f]Emily[/name_f] but I chose [name_f]Laura[/name_f] as its mums name along with [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] being Joseph’s mums name I liked the name being matriarchy heavy! But I get being particular about certain things!
@marysia thank you for responding I hadn’t even thought of putting these three together this creates such a bright feminine sibling set
This was such a difficult one to choose from, I love so many of these names (Daphne, [name_f]Lavender[/name_f], [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f], [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] to name a few)!
For your set I think you absolutely have to go for [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Christina[/name_f], it has the beautiful honour names in there and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] sound so sweet together. For all its popularity, I never really come across [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a first name either so I think it matches in familiarity but not well used.
I found the next two a bit harder to decide on, but I went with [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_u]Fern[/name_u] [name_f]Esther[/name_f] Lockhart. They’ve both got the nice botanical first names that match in style and length to [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. Again these names are familiar yet uncommon. I also think they all match in terms of middle names with the more formal middle spots, [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], [name_f]Margret[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f]. Plus I think [name_u]Fern[/name_u] [name_f]Esther[/name_f] Lockhart flows really well and just sounds effortlessly cool, especially with Lockhart in the middle.
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_u]Fern[/name_u] sound like a really sweet sibling set.
[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favourite combinations from the list are [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Coast[/name_u], [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_u]Fern[/name_u] [name_f]Esther[/name_f] Lockhart.
@Hello1 thank you for providing such lovely feedback it’s really kind of you I actually love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_u]Fern[/name_u]!
A sister to [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f] would be…
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Christina[/name_f] - I feel like this comes naturally to selection. This would be my top choice for you.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - I was going to go with [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] [name_f]Marianne[/name_f], but I decided to go with this one since the flow is so smooth. I think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] & [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] would make for great sisters + [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] is unique too.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - I feel like [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is one of those names that go well with any name, and is really versatile. [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is similar to the traditionality of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f].
Omg [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is absolutely precious!!
I rule that her sisters’ names should be:
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - love that [name_f]Iris[/name_f] ties into the floral vibes of [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and I love the flow of [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] - ok I’m starting a little flower theme cuz it’s just too cute and again I love the flow of this name as a whole!
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Christina[/name_f] - [name_f]Rose[/name_f] just ties this sister set together so sweetly! I love [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] as a nickname and it makes my heart happy to think of four little flower sisters
@bellerose thank you I think she’s cutie despite being the definition of a mischief maker I love the trio you put together it’s so pretty and one I wouldn’t immediately think off
@jalexis15 thank you she is very precious! I love a floral sibling set too so pretty
