June in June?

Would it be too weird to name a baby [name_u]June[/name_u] if she was born in [name_u]June[/name_u]? (Or for that matter [name_f]May[/name_f] in [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_f]April[/name_f] in [name_f]April[/name_f], etc.) It is probably my favorite girl name out there and I would be sad if the month of birth would eliminate it as a possibility. (Note: Currently not pregnant, this is just hypothetical for now.)

I personally think month names make the most sense if they correspond to the month of birth, particularly with names like [name_f]April[/name_f] or [name_u]August[/name_u]. [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_u]June[/name_u] can obviously and are used plenty outside of their corresponding months, and that’s fine. But my preference is for [name_u]June[/name_u] to be born in [name_u]June[/name_u], though. I know a two year-old [name_u]June[/name_u] born in [name_u]December[/name_u] though, and she’s cute as can be. I don’t hold it against her, haha.

The only [name_u]June[/name_u] I know was born in [name_u]June[/name_u], so I think its fine.

[name_u]June[/name_u] is a beautiful name. I don’t think it matters either way - it’s an interesting link if it happens to correspond, but certainly wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks everyone. I’m glad to hear that people don’t seem to think it is a problem.

I think month names are fine to use whether the child was born in that month or not, though it’s a nice connection if they are. To be honest, I think a [name_u]June[/name_u] would get asked if she was born in [name_u]June[/name_u] a lot, whether she was or not (because people wouldn’t know), so as long as you’re okay with the question it’s fine.

I think it makes more sense if they’re born the month they’re named after, otherwise a very faraway month. If it’s named [name_f]April[/name_f] in [name_f]May[/name_f] it would be a little strange I think

No, I don’t think it would be a problem at all! If anything it’s far more logical.

Not at all! The name [name_u]June[/name_u] is so sweet and stands on its own apart from the month

I agree so much with this. [name_f]Glad[/name_f] others seem to feel the same way. And a big thanks to everyone else for commenting as well.

[name_u]June[/name_u] is a glorious name and can be used for a girl born in any month.
