I have three absolute favourite boys names that I adore ([name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_m]George[/name_m]) but just can’t find anything comparable for girls!
I don’t mind [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] maybe (but don’t like the [name_f]Bri[/name_f] sound in the middle) and I think [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] is OK but maybe a bit nicknameish! I love [name_f]Holly[/name_f] but have a nephew called [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] so don’t think that can work…
I’m not even sure where to really start compiling a girls list… any ideas?
One thing I’d recommend is when you find a name you sort of like, going to the name’s page on Nameberry and clicking on the button called “Similar Names” as it often leads you to other names you might like.
Names similar to [name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_m]George[/name_m], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Holly[/name_f] and [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] to me are…
I know a girl named [name_f]Graciella[/name_f], and thought I would suggest it as an alternative to [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] (no [name_f]Bri[/name_f]) sound. I actually think [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] could be a nickname for [name_f]Graciella[/name_f], too.

([name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_m]George[/name_m])
The obvious ones for me would be [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] or [name_f]Charleigh[/name_f], and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] or [name_f]Georgina[/name_f]! Unless, of course, you’re saving [name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], and [name_m]George[/name_m] for sons you might have some day.
I’d start by using the namehunter/name generator Nameberry has to search through names that are similar. Or you could look through lists of names with a similar style. In your case, I’d say [name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], and [name_m]George[/name_m] are fairly common, classic British names. I’d look into the UK top charts for girls!
The top ten currently are:
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Ava[/name_f]
[name_f]Emily[/name_f]
