Just found out we're expecting!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there! So, my husband and I just found out last week that I am 5 weeks along!! We could not be more excited! [name_m]Just[/name_m] a question to the moms out there - when did y’all start talking about names? I have been thinking about them, well…forever. :wink: But especially over the past few months. I am just SO interested in names, meanings, origins, etc. I already have lists of my favorites that seems to grow constantly. [name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering about when y’all brought it up and started seriously narrowing them down, etc.

Congratulations!

At this point it’s probably a good idea to start talking about traditions and style. I want something simple, timeless and easy to spell. My partner and I discovered contradicting family traditions, but we agreed on style. We had to do a lot of talking to agree on which traditions to keep and which to let go of.

Once you have an idea of what you’re looking for it’ll be easy to narrow down the field.

Thanks!! :slight_smile: You just happen to have some of my favorite girls names! [name_f]Alice[/name_f] was my grandma’s name and [name_f]Holley[/name_f] is my sister-in-law. I just looove the rest too! Unfortunately one of my husband’s best friends has a little [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Another one of his friends used [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] which I really love, too. But since it has gotten so popular, I don’t know if we’d really consider it anyway.

Ahh so exciting! I am so indecisive I know this is going to be a super tough decision!

And his other friend just named theirs [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]! I have been saying for awhile that we need to go ahead and have one because people are taking all the names I love! Haha! I love [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] but one of my best buds named her some that. (She has told me to go ahead use it though. I wouldn’t but…cool friend!)
