[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I just found out that we’re expecting our 3rd boy! I am pretty stumped for names for this guy. I would love some help and suggestions. Here are our current boys’ names:
[name_u]Connolly[/name_u] [name_m]Brian[/name_m] (age 5)
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] (goes by [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], age 3)
As you can see, we are all over the map- we have one unique name and one traditional name.
Names that are on the list that we both agree on:
[name_u]Chase[/name_u]
[name_u]Cameron[/name_u]
Names that I like but my husband turns his nose up to:
[name_m]Eamon[/name_m]
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] (I think I might be able to sway him a bit on this one)
This baby’s middle name will be [name_m]William[/name_m], and our last name begins with a Q and is English in heritage.
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] is my fave out of your listed names. (I like that it does not start with a C too-so [name_u]James[/name_u]/[name_u]Jamie[/name_u] wont feel left out)!
Other suggestions:
[name_u]Blake[/name_u]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Brodie[/name_m]
[name_m]Patrick[/name_m]
[name_m]Zachary[/name_m]
[name_m]Griffin[/name_m]
[name_m]Mitchell[/name_m]
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]
[name_m]Liam[/name_m] (Which is a short form of [name_m]William[/name_m]) also sounds lovely( but [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] would be a bit weird…)!!!
Like your style … I think [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] is a solid choice
I would also recommend…
[name_m]Knox[/name_m]
[name_m]Anders[/name_m]
[name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]
[name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]
[name_u]Keenan[/name_u]
[name_u]Royce[/name_u]
[name_m]Dawson[/name_m]
[name_m]Gavin[/name_m]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Levi[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
[name_m]Clay[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]
[name_m]Gordon[/name_m]
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m]
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_m]Prescott[/name_m]
[name_u]Brady[/name_u]
I’m also reminded that I like [name_u]Emmett[/name_u], but with the Lego movie, it might not be the best choice this year. :-/
You guys also hit on several names that I like that I can’t use:
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] and [name_m]Brodie[/name_m]- nephews
[name_m]Declan[/name_m]- Godson
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m]- [name_u]Connolly[/name_u]'s best friend and our neighbor
What do you think about shortening [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] to Lach with a Q last name? We typically shy away from K end sounds like [name_u]Nick[/name_u] and [name_m]Zach[/name_m] because our name starts with a “Qua” sound. When you put the two together it can sound like you have marbles in your mouth. For some reason I feel like Lach has a softer sound to it. I could also just be trying to talk myself into it!
After a month of mulling, we’ve added [name_m]Damon[/name_m] to the list. I think it’s my front runner now- [name_m]Damon[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] Q_____ What do you think?
