Just found out we're having Twins!

[name]Hi[/name] everybody!

I’m new here to nameberry, and I’m reading through these messages and noticing you all have wonderful taste in names! I was hoping I could get some of your help with naming, but first let me introduce myself! My name is [name]Anne[/name] [name]Gray[/name], and my husband is [name]Parker[/name] [name]Gray[/name]. Together, we have a handsome 20 month old named [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Windsor[/name] [name]Dell[/name], who goes by [name]Seb[/name] most of the time. I am currently in my first trimester, and today [name]Park[/name] and I just got the shock of our lives learning we’re carrying twins! We are so happy and can’t be more thrilled that [name]Seb[/name] is not only going to have one friend to play with but two! Only problem is, we have no idea where to start on names! [name]Seb[/name]'s name came to us so easily, as [name]Sebastian[/name] is [name]Parker[/name]'s middle name (also [name]Parker[/name]'s fathers first name) and the middle names ([name]Windsor[/name] and [name]Dell[/name]) both came from my side of the family. It was a no brainer! We both know that keeping names from the family is very important to us, but we are also open to new names (just as long as there are family names in there, or derived from family names. Like [name]Dell[/name], which came from my fathers middle name Delphis). As you can see, we like 2 middle names and would like to keep that for these 2 babies as well! Oh wow, that means I’m in need of 6 names here! What a daunting task!

We don’t know the sexes of the babies yet, so I would love your help in finding both girls and boys names to go with [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Windsor[/name] [name]Dell[/name]. I’ll list some names of our family members that are possibilities, but we would still love to hear other suggestions!

GIRL (family names that we’d consider using, P=parker side of family, A=my side of family)
My name : [name]Anne[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] (now [name]Gray[/name])
[name]Florence[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] (my mother)
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Barbara[/name] ([name]Parker[/name]'s mother)
[name]Georgiana[/name] (A)
[name]Agnes[/name] (A)
[name]Colleen[/name] §
[name]Margaret[/name] §
[name]Abigail[/name] §

BOY (family names that we’d consider using)
Husband’s name: [name]Parker[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] ([name]Parker[/name]'s father, clearly only [name]Cooper[/name] is viable!)
[name]Harry[/name] Delphis (my father’s name, clearly only [name]Harry[/name] is viable!)
[name]Carling[/name] (A)
[name]Miller[/name] §
[name]Eaton[/name] (A)
[name]Wilfred[/name] §

We would so appreciate your help! And we’d still love some new ideas to go with these family names! Thanks so much in advance.

I love the name [name]Bellamy[/name]!! possible combos: [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Colleen[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] , [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], and [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Magdalena[/name] [name]Colleen[/name].

Since [name]Sebastian[/name] is my favorite name out of the boys(and you cant have two [name]Sebastian[/name]'s). My second favorite is [name]Miller[/name] possible combos: [name]Soren[/name] [name]Parker[/name](I know you want two middle names but that is just a really nice name :D), [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Parker[/name] [name]Henry[/name], and [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Solomon[/name] [name]Cooper[/name].

[name]Hope[/name] I helped you out  :!: :!:

I love your sons names. [name]Sebastian[/name] is one of my personal favorites.

Off your list I like:
[name]Bellamy[/name]- I think this is an amazingly stylish name that you should pass on somehow.
[name]Caroline[/name]- Although maybe better as a mn
[name]Georgiana[/name]- Although I think [name]Georgia[/name] would be a great too.

[name]Carlyle[/name]/[name]Carlisle[/name]- I think this would be a nice spin on [name]Carling[/name], and it sound great with [name]Sebastian[/name]
[name]Easton[/name]- Again, a nice spin on [name]Easton[/name]
[name]Miller[/name]- This would make a good mn

Other names you might like:

Some combos:
[name]Carlisle[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Miller[/name]
[name]Julian[/name] [name]Carlyle[/name] [name]Wilfred[/name]
[name]Dominic[/name] [name]Easton[/name] [name]Mills[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Parker[/name] [name]Eaton[/name]
[name]Finian[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Carling[/name]

[name]Cecily[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Abigail[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Florence[/name]
[name]Jane[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Florence[/name]

Thanks so much for your reply!
I too love the name [name]Bellamy[/name], and was sort of heartbroken when I gave it up when I married and changed my last name to [name]Gray[/name]. But the possibility of perhaps using it on a little girl made it okay! Our only hangup with using [name]Bellamy[/name] is if it matches with [name]Sebastian[/name]. What do you think? [name]Seb[/name] & [name]Bell[/name]? [name]Do[/name] they go well together? We also have to worry about a twin if we use the name [name]Bellamy[/name]. What girl name would you pair with her, and what boy name as well?
What do you guys think about :
[name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Flora[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Gray[/name]

I love your suggestion of [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Gray[/name], and I think so will [name]Parker[/name], as at the moment [name]Ivy[/name] is a top contender for him. He thinks [name]Seb[/name] & [name]Ivy[/name] sound great together, and you know what…i do too! Would [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Bellamy[/name] work together? What are other middle combos for [name]Ivy[/name]?

Also, just want to keep saying we’re not limited to these family names, We are still open to new suggestions that you think would pair amazingly with [name]Sebastian[/name]!

Thanks leah_9 for your reply! The feedback on [name]Bellamy[/name] is great, and i do wish to pass it on somehow. As i said above, do you think it works okay with [name]Sebastian[/name]? I think they are stylistically off a little bit - but i could be persuaded otherwise! [name]Love[/name] your suggestion of [name]Georgia[/name] instead of [name]Georgiana[/name]. My Aunt [name]Georgiana[/name] often has pronunciation issues with her name and i wouldn’t want to give my possible daughter a name with an issue like that.

AS for the boys names, i do agree with [name]Carlisle[/name] is a great spin on [name]Carling[/name] - but it is definitely too Twilight for me. Unfortunate how she used so many great names in her books which are now deemed unusable. I also really like your suggestion of [name]Easton[/name] instead of [name]Eaton[/name]. I was conserned with a nickname if we went with [name]Eaton[/name] as it would probably be “Eat” - so not cool! But [name]Easton[/name] would allow his nick name to be [name]East[/name], thats kinda cool no? [name]Seb[/name] and [name]East[/name]? Definitely one to think about! From your suggestions, i think [name]Theodore[/name] goes great with [name]Sebastian[/name] and i will 100% show that name to [name]Parker[/name] and see what he says. And for the girls suggestions [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Louisa[/name] are both lovely, howeber i may like [name]Louise[/name] a tad more. What nick names could you use for [name]Louise[/name]? Would [name]Lola[/name] work?

I adore your suggestion of [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Parker[/name] [name]Eaton[/name], and [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] - but not with [name]Anne[/name] at the end. For some reason I don’t think i want to use my name if i had a daughter. Maybe a spin on my name like [name]Annabel[/name] or something though.

Thanks so much for your help. [name]Parker[/name] and I have a lot to talk about!

Congratulations, [name]Anne[/name]! I’m a twin, so I love to check out the twin posts. Anyway, [name]Seb[/name] has a fantastic name - I think [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Windsor[/name] [name]Dell[/name] is very handsome. And you’ve got such wonderful names to work with for the twins, too!

[name]Ophelia[/name] jumps out at me for a first name for a girl. [name]Sebastian[/name] and [name]Ophelia[/name] just make sense to me, you know? I love [name]Bellamy[/name], too, but not as a first name. It feels too surname-y alongside [name]Sebastian[/name]. Something like [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] would compliment [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Windsor[/name] [name]Dell[/name] very well, I think! Hm. What if you have twin girls? Well, I suppose [name]Sebastian[/name], [name]Ophelia[/name], and [name]Georgiana[/name] make most sense for first names - they sound so regal! [name]Seb[/name], [name]Lia[/name], and [name]Gigi[/name]? [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Gray[/name] would be darling - I chose [name]Pearl[/name] because [name]Margaret[/name] means “pearl.”

Are you looking for other suggestions for first names outside of family names? If so, I could see [name]Agatha[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name], [name]Helena[/name], [name]Lydia[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Ramona[/name], and [name]Violet[/name] with [name]Sebastian[/name]. [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Margo[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Helena[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Ramona[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Gray[/name], or [name]Violet[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Gray[/name]?

Hm. Boy’s names are striking me as a bit more difficult. I’d pull out [name]Henry[/name] from [name]Harry[/name] as an option. [name]Sebastian[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] make a smart set! Or, maybe you could split up [name]Wilfred[/name] into [name]William[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name] to make that more accessible as a first name? [name]Henry[/name] and [name]William[/name] are lovely for boys! I also love [name]Frederick[/name] with [name]Sebastian[/name], and [name]Sebastian[/name], [name]William[/name], and [name]Frederick[/name] are perfect. Middle names! [name]William[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Gray[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? Or maybe [name]William[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Gray[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name] works better - yes, it does! [name]Love[/name] those! [name]Seb[/name], [name]Wills[/name], and [name]Freddie[/name]!

Okay, other boy names that I like with [name]Sebastian[/name] include [name]Alexander[/name], [name]Benedict[/name], [name]Eliot[/name], [name]Leopold[/name], [name]Maxwell[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Russell[/name], and [name]Theodore[/name]. [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Benedict[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Eliot[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Harrison[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Leopold[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Harris[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Gray[/name], [name]Russell[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Gray[/name], or [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Gray[/name]?

So, [name]Anne[/name], if you and [name]Parker[/name] wanted to keep all family names, I’d use [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] for girl-girl twins and [name]William[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Miller[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] for boy-boy twins. For boy-girl twins, I think I’d use [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name]! If you wanted to expand to other names, I’d choose [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Ramona[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] for girl-girl twins, [name]Benedict[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Henry[/name] for boy-boy twins, and [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] for boy-girl twins.

[name]Lemon[/name]

Oh wow [name]Lemon[/name], thank you so much! Im so glad you like [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Windsor[/name] [name]Dell[/name] - it came to easily too us, I don’t know why these are taking such a toll on us!

Over breakfast this morning [name]Parker[/name] and I were talking about names. He is still really liking [name]Ivy[/name] - he says that whenever he pictures us having a little girl, he thinks of the name [name]Ivy[/name] automatically. Isn’t that so sweet? It makes me like [name]Ivy[/name] even more - and I can so see a female version of [name]Seb[/name] being named [name]Ivy[/name] - a girl with curly blond hair, big bright green eyes and a little freckled face ready for adventure! I think I’m just talking myself into this name more and more! [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Barbara[/name] [name]Linny[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? However, I do agree with you that [name]Ophelia[/name] seems like an amazing match with [name]Sebastian[/name]. When i showed [name]Parker[/name] your post, his only reservation was with the “phelia” ending and the potential teasing “[name]Feel[/name]-ya”…oh men! I do love the regal feel of your suggestions [name]Ophelia[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name], and adore [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] - I never thought of using [name]Pearl[/name]! What do you think about using [name]Georgia[/name] instead of [name]Georgiana[/name]? [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]? [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name]? [name]Seb[/name], [name]Ivy[/name], and [name]Georgia[/name]?

There is something in your suggestion of [name]Ramona[/name] that is intriguing - [name]Parker[/name] can’t get behind the name though - yet again with “moan” teasing. The name just gives off such a warm feeling that I am drawn too, and the nickname [name]Romy[/name] or [name]Roma[/name] are so great. What other names could you use those nicknames for?

[name]Parker[/name] and I adore your suggestion of [name]Frederick[/name]! [name]Parker[/name]'s grandfather [name]Wilfred[/name] was always so important in his life, so that would be a great tie to him! [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Gray[/name]/[name]Freddie[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is too die for! Thanks so much for that suggestion! [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Wills[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? (I liked your [name]Wills[/name] suggestion - but is having a “[name]Will[/name]” and “[name]Fred[/name]” all in one name too much to honor a [name]Wilfred[/name]?) I love the flow of [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Wills[/name] [name]Gray[/name] with [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Windsor[/name] [name]Dell[/name] [name]Gray[/name]. Your suggestion of [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] is handsome too. [name]How[/name] do [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name] sound together? [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Freddie[/name]? [name]Seb[/name], [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Freddie[/name]? [name]Henry[/name] is also a good option derived from [name]Harry[/name], but what good nicknames can you get from [name]Henry[/name] - i wouldn’t want him to be just “[name]Hen[/name]”.

Sorry for writing a novel, you gave us so much to think about! Thanks so much!

You have a gorgeous name, [name]Anne[/name]! Let me see if I can help
[name]Annabel[/name] (a combo of [name]Anne[/name] and [name]Bellamy[/name]!)
[name]Tabitha[/name] (nn [name]Abby[/name])

Names I would suggest besides the play on family names:

I love [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Belle[/name] if you have twin girls.

I love [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Carlisle[/name] if you have one of each.

I love [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Carlisle[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] if you have twin boys.

[name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Windsor[/name] [name]Dell[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is a wonderful name choice for your son. I would keep [name]Bellamy[/name] as a middle name as it does not match well with [name]Sebastian[/name]. Here are some sibsets that may work with [name]Sebastian[/name].

Twin Girls
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Gray[/name]

Twin Boys
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name]

Boy/Girl Twins
[name]Oliver[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Gray[/name]

Spotlightstarlit, that is one extensive list of names! Thanks a bunch for taking your time to do that for us, we really appreciate it! [name]Parker[/name] and I went through the list (It’s Thanksgiving here, giving us lots of time to think about names on our holiday!) and these are the names that stood out to us:
[name]Beatrix[/name]/[name]Beatrice[/name] (love this as [name]Barbara[/name] (Parkers Grandma) went by [name]Bea[/name] - so he really loves this too!)

[name]Nathaniel[/name] ([name]Parker[/name] loves this for the nickname [name]Nate[/name] - [name]Seb[/name] and [name]Nate[/name] sound great)

What do you guys think about [name]Ivy[/name] & [name]Beatrix[/name] as twin girls? [name]Seb[/name], [name]Ivy[/name] & [name]Bea[/name]? We love that the names they would go by are 3 letters long. [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Winifred[/name] [name]Flora[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? Im really liking [name]Flora[/name] to honor my mom. [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Flora[/name] [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? Help with middle names for [name]Beatrix[/name]!

What do you guys think about [name]Frederick[/name] & [name]Nathaniel[/name] as twin brothers? [name]Seb[/name], [name]Freddie[/name] & [name]Nate[/name]? [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Wills[/name] & [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Harry[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Gray[/name]?

[name]Mischa[/name] thanks so much for those suggestions! I agree with you that [name]Bellamy[/name] is better in the middle - I just don’t see it working as a first name. However, [name]Parker[/name] likes it as a first name. [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is gorgeous, thanks so much for that suggestion! [name]Do[/name] you think it works well with [name]Beatrix[/name]/[name]Beatrice[/name]? Can you think of middles for [name]Bea[/name]? Unfortunately we are not a fan of [name]Oliver[/name]. We think it sounds great on little guys, but we just can’t picture a grown “[name]Ollie[/name]”. What are your thoughts on [name]Frederick[/name] as a brother for [name]Sebastian[/name]?

Thanks yet again for all of your help. We are so pleased we found this site to help us on our new adventure with twins!

I think [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Georgia[/name] are great sisters! [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is gorgeous! I personally prefer [name]Georgiana[/name] with [name]Sebastian[/name], simply because it is longer and sounds a bit more regal, but [name]Georgia[/name] is fun and spunky, too - I love [name]Gigi[/name] as a nickname. I saw that you were looking into [name]Beatrix[/name] or [name]Beatrice[/name], too? Though [name]Beatrix[/name] is my favorite, [name]Beatrice[/name] sounds much better with [name]Gray[/name]. [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name] are great sisters, and [name]Sebastian[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name] work beautifully - my professor actually has two cats named [name]Sebastian[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name]! Anyway, what is [name]Ivy[/name]'s nickname going to be? I think I prefer [name]Ivy[/name] in the middle myself, simply because it is so short compared to [name]Sebastian[/name] and really doesn’t offer a nickname. [name]Beatrice[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name] would be gorgeous together for girls, especially if your husband has worries about [name]Ophelia[/name] - “feel ya” is a new one! I just think [name]Seb[/name], [name]Gigi[/name], and [name]Bea[/name] are great together, or whatever nickname you like for [name]Georgiana[/name]. [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] would be perfect together. What do you think, [name]Anne[/name]?

Boys! Hm. [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Wills[/name] doesn’t sound right to me, sadly. [name]Cooper[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name] both have those strong “K” sounds, so I wouldn’t use them back-to-back, and I worry that if you use [name]Wills[/name], having already used [name]Dell[/name], you’ll need to find another name with a double L in it for a third boy! But, I’m picky about stuff like that. I’m getting the sense you aren’t keen on [name]William[/name] “[name]Wills[/name]” for a first name, right? [name]Ah[/name], okay. I do love [name]Frederick[/name] with [name]Sebastian[/name], and I loved [name]Frederick[/name] with [name]Ivy[/name], but I really love [name]Frederick[/name] with either [name]Beatrice[/name] or [name]Georgiana[/name]! [name]Freddie[/name] and [name]Bea[/name] are simply adorable! I think I’d stick with [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name], myself, but it’s up to you. I also love [name]Nathaniel[/name], but I wouldn’t use [name]Harry[/name] and [name]Eaton[/name] together - something about “harry eatin’” rubs me the wrong way! I’m starting to sound like your husband, right? Maybe [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Wilfred[/name] [name]Gray[/name]?

Okay, sorry if I failed to respond to any part of your post. It’s hard to come in at the end of the day and get everything! Ha! Good luck.

[name]Lemon[/name]

[name]Anne[/name], I forgot to mention that [name]Romy[/name] is also traditionally used as a nickname for [name]Rosemary[/name]. [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is pretty, and [name]Romy[/name] is great with [name]Seb[/name]. Hm. [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Flora[/name]?

[name]Lemon[/name]

I’m working on a long list of fn/mn/mn combos! Many people say my combos are great, so I hope may help!

Alright, I feel a little bad for you, when [name]Lauren[/name] ([name]Lemon[/name]) and I take on a project, we don’t back down easily, call us Kujo!

My very favorite name, as I mentioned is [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]. [name]Lemon[/name] and I had the same thought that [name]Rosemary[/name] could have the nn [name]Romy[/name]! I don’t agree, however, that [name]Ivy[/name] is too short for [name]Sebastian[/name], but then again, I like sib-sets to have that kind of diversity. I also know I am in the minority on this one!

So, between me, and [name]Lemon[/name], you are in good hands, good hands and a tight grip.

The boys are to come, please post any favorite combos and revised lists of any kind, otherwise we’ll hunt you down!

Here are the boys, which was much easier to assemble, and I really like the combos!
Wouldn”t it be cute to use both [name]Easton[/name] and [name]West[/name] if you had twin boys? Too cute? I think it could work as middle names, but that”s just me and my love for cutesy!
[name]Calvin[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Charles[/name]- I know [name]Charles[/name] wasn”t on your list, but when I said [name]Calvin[/name] [name]Henry[/name], [name]Charles[/name] rolled off my tounge and I thought I would include it here.
As I said, please update us with your favs and updated lists!

[name]West[/name] [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Atticus[/name]

I think it’s only partially about length for me with [name]Ivy[/name]. For instance, I think [name]Scarlett[/name] would be a great sister to [name]Sebastian[/name]. See, to me, [name]Sebastian[/name] is a stud’s name, and his sister would be a vixen or a princess. [name]Ophelia[/name] sounds like a vixen’s name, and [name]Georgiana[/name] sounds like a princess. [name]Georgina[/name], too, sounds like a vixen. [name]Ivy[/name], on the other hand, is the cute girl in the corner, soft-spoken and sweet, but not exactly sultry. Doesn’t mean I don’t like [name]Ivy[/name] or think she’s a terrible sibling for [name]Sebastian[/name] - I don’t! - but it just doesn’t match the image in my head. Yes, my head. You may be thinking very different things. Ha!

[name]Lemon[/name]

You guys are seriously fantastic! We can’t thank you enough. [name]Parker[/name] is stunned with all this help, as am I.

With all the surprise and excitement with finding out we’re having twins, we are really into naming the babies as soon as possible. We want to take away that one unknown! So after putting [name]Seb[/name] to bed tonight, [name]Parker[/name] and I sat down to go through your suggestions. What i think we’ve concluded with is :

  1. We love, I mean love, [name]Frederick[/name]. It sounds so perfect for us. It goes amazingly with [name]Sebastian[/name], plus [name]Seb[/name] and [name]Freddie[/name] sound like they were meant to be brothers. So if one of the twins ends up being a boy, he will for sure be named [name]Frederick[/name]. Such a relief to have one name out of 4 down pat (well, half of a name really- we still need a middle for [name]Freddie[/name] [name]Gray[/name]!).
2)Despite the length of [name]Ivy[/name], and the fact that it doesn’t have a set nickname, we adore it. With Parkers persistence, he ended up making me love this name as much as he does, and we think that if we have a little girl her name will be [name]Ivy[/name]. Phew, 2 down! I guess that means if we have b/g twins they may be [name]Frederick[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] - my heart is melting seeing that, it’s all becoming so real (unless the other girl name we come up with we end up loving even more)! [name]Seb[/name], [name]Freddie[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] - we seriously love it, and we hope you guys do too!

With that said, we still need middle names for [name]Frederick[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name], as well as one other boy name and one other girl name. For one of the girls, [name]Bellamy[/name] will for sure be a middle name. Whether it be with [name]Ivy[/name] or the other precious one (if they are both girls) it doesn’t matter. Would you feel obliged to use [name]Bellamy[/name] as a middle for [name]Ivy[/name] since that is the name set in stone?

I think our real girl contenders for first names are [name]Georgia[/name] (or [name]Georgiana[/name] - still stuck on pronunciation issues) and [name]Beatrice[/name] (i agree with you lemon, [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Gray[/name] doesn’t flow as well as [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Gray[/name]). We love that [name]Georgia[/name]'s nickname could be [name]Gigi[/name], which fits perfectly since her initials would actually be GG. [name]Harriet[/name] and [name]Winifred[/name] are also up there, but we clearly wouldn’t use [name]Winifred[/name] with [name]Frederick[/name]. [name]Park[/name] likes [name]Harriet[/name] much more then I do. As much as we like the name [name]Annabel[/name], we feel that as a first name it won’t work since my nick name is [name]Annie[/name], and that would most likely be hers, we don’t want to have 2 of the same names in our household…too confusing. It is still suitable as a middle name though.
From your guys suggestions, we really like:
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name] [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Harriet[/name] [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Winifred[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Winifred[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Daisy[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
We would still love more suggestions for [name]Ivy[/name]. And which name do you think goes best with [name]Ivy[/name]?

As for boys, our top first name contenders at the moment are [name]Nathaniel[/name], [name]Theodore[/name], [name]Easton[/name] and [name]Henry[/name]. Which do you think goes best with [name]Frederick[/name] and [name]Sebastian[/name]? [name]Parker[/name] just told me how much he likes [name]Easton[/name]. Not only does it have family meaning (honoring [name]Eaton[/name]), it is a hockey brand, his favorite sport. I find it kind of weird to name your son after a brand, but hey, whatever fits right? From your guys’ suggestions we love:
[name]Easton[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Henry[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Easton[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name] (love the middle name [name]Henry[/name] [name]Cooper[/name]! flows so great)
[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Wilfred[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Edison[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Parker[/name] [name]Easton[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Lemon[/name], I never noticed how [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] doesn’t flow well but you’re right…it sounds really off. Also, forget about [name]Harry[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] - it’s horrible now that you mention it! Who wants to be “eatin harry”. Oh man. Thats pregnant brain for you…is it doubly worse with twins? hehe, Hey, it could be a great excuse! I do still love your suggestion of [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name] (maybe I’ll change it to [name]Easton[/name]?). Anyways, we’d still love more suggestions for middle names for [name]Frederick[/name], and any other possibilities for his brother!

I am so pleased that we have landed on [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name], and we couldn’t have done it without your guys’ help. Keep up the great work ladies!

[name]Frederick[/name] and [name]Nathaniel[/name] are just great together. I don’t know how you’d top it. And while [name]Nate[/name] is normally my favored nicknamed (I’m biased as I’m married to a [name]Nathan[/name] nn [name]Nate[/name]) with an older brother [name]Seb[/name] the option of [name]Nat[/name] shouldn’t be overlooked.

I’m glad that you are sticking with [name]Ivy[/name]. I think it’s such a lovely name.

Congrats on deciding on [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name] for two names! I really do like both of them with [name]Sebastian[/name]. I know I said [name]Ivy[/name] has a different feel than [name]Sebastian[/name], but she does make for a good sister for [name]Seb[/name]. And, [name]Frederick[/name] is divine with [name]Sebastian[/name]! Okay, let’s get down to it, shall we?

I think you need something a little more sassy and spunky with [name]Ivy[/name], and [name]Harriet[/name] and [name]Winifred[/name] just don’t do it for me. They are a bit too heavy, I think. I think [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] make a lot of sense together, but I personally like [name]Georgiana[/name] more. Would you compromise with [name]Georgina[/name]? That’s a fool-proof pronunciation, and she sounds sassy and elegant - a perfect fit with [name]Sebastian[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name]. Or [name]Frederick[/name]. Whatever. [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name] are darling, too! [name]Ah[/name], I can’t decide which I like more, [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Georgiana[/name], [name]Georgina[/name], or [name]Beatrice[/name]. I think [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Gray[/name] sounds the most glamorous, but I think I’m going with [name]Beatrice[/name] on this one.

Middle names for girls? No, I would not feel compelled to use [name]Bellamy[/name] for [name]Ivy[/name] if she ends up being the only girl. Because both [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Bellamy[/name] end in that “ee” sound, I wouldn’t feel particularly compelled to use it with [name]Ivy[/name], ever. In fact, should you end up having both boys, I would feel more inclined to use [name]Bellamy[/name] as a middle name for a son - it’s a surname, as you well know, so it would be just as good for a boy. Anyway, let me think about names I like, going back to your family name list:

[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Annabella[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Flora[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Gray[/name]

[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Flora[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Gray[/name]

(I would use [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Georgia[/name] together OR [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Annabella[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] and [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Georgia[/name] together for girls!)

[name]Just[/name] for kicks, I’ll throw in some [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name] combos:

[name]Georgia[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Florence[/name] [name]Gray[/name]

[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Gray[/name]

(I would use [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] and [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] or [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Gray[/name].)

As for boys, I think [name]Theodore[/name] is far and away the best sibling to [name]Frederick[/name] and [name]Sebastian[/name]. [name]Seb[/name], [name]Freddie[/name], and [name]Theo[/name] are perfect! You cannot call him [name]Teddy[/name], though, but that’s good because [name]Teddy[/name] [name]Gray[/name] sounds like a type of teddy bear. I’m in love with [name]Theo[/name] [name]Gray[/name], though! [name]Easton[/name] feels much too modern to be a first name, but you could use it as a middle name, for sure. Would you want to stray from your family name, though?

Middle names! [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is my favorite, I think. [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] - or [name]Easton[/name] - flows beautifully! I can’t think of something I like more, so I’ll move on to his brother:

[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Parker[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Wilfred[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Wilfred[/name] [name]Parker[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Wilson[/name] [name]Gray[/name] - For [name]Wilfred[/name], maybe?

(I’d pair [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name] with [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Gray[/name], I think, or perhaps [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Wilfred[/name] [name]Parker[/name] [name]Gray[/name]. Yes, those are my favorites!)

For kicks, I’ll pick my second-favorite brother for [name]Frederick[/name], [name]Nathaniel[/name]:

[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Parker[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Wilfred[/name] [name]Parker[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Gray[/name]

(I’d put [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] with [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Carling[/name] [name]Wilfred[/name].)

And, for boy-girl twins, I’d pick [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Agnes[/name]!

[name]Lemon[/name]

Hey guys!
[name]Just[/name] got back from work, and this was the first place I came. [name]Seb[/name] isn’t due back from the park for another couple minutes so i am able to catch some time to reply!
I was thinking about names throughout the day (it was a slow day at work) and I’m still loving [name]Freddie[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name]. One thought came up though. What do you guys think about the spelling [name]Ivey[/name]? I’m not typically one to change spelling away from the classic but for some reason this doesn’t feel that made up. The reason why it sparked my interest was it sort of gave the name a little more weight to stand up against [name]Sebastian[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name]. I think [name]Ivy[/name] would work, as even though its only three letters long it does have a sense of history and weight to it, but [name]Ivey[/name] gives it even more weight. What are your guys’ thoughts? I haven’t brought it up with [name]Parker[/name] yet.

Lo - thanks so much for your reply! I agree that [name]Nathaniel[/name] and [name]Frederick[/name] are great together! [name]Glad[/name] to see someone else with the same opinion! [name]Love[/name] the suggestion of [name]Nat[/name] as a nickname to go with [name]Seb[/name], although i too prefer the nickname [name]Nate[/name]. [name]Just[/name] wondering how common the name [name]Nathaniel[/name] is? Are there a lot of little [name]Nate[/name]'s running around?

[name]Lemon[/name] - I’m with you on [name]Harriet[/name] and [name]Winifred[/name] being to heavy and frumpy. [name]Parker[/name] still really likes [name]Harriet[/name], but I’m just not on that same page. Still our top favorite names for girls to go with [name]Ivy[/name] are [name]Georgia[/name] (I really like your suggestion of [name]Georgina[/name] and have to bring it up to [name]Parker[/name]) and [name]Beatrice[/name], with [name]Beatrice[/name] beating [name]Georgia[/name]/[name]Georgina[/name] by a slight hair. [name]Love[/name] your suggestion on middle names, particularly :
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Flora[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
[name]Georgia[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Gray[/name] / [name]Georgina[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Gray[/name]
However, I am still really loving [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Bellamy[/name] [name]Gray[/name] - and [name]Parker[/name] likes it too.
For boys, [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Nathaniel[/name] are my top contenders. And with our favorite [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Eaton[/name] [name]Cooper[/name] [name]Gray[/name], I really love your suggestion of [name]Theodore[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Gray[/name] and [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Miller[/name] [name]Gray[/name]. I don’t think [name]Wilfred[/name] should be used in the middle name spot, since that is the name [name]Frederick[/name] is derived from and we want to be able to honor as many people as possible!

Also, I was reminded of one of my favorite names growing up when I turned on the TV last night and “My Girl” was on. [name]Veda[/name]/[name]Vada[/name]. Really different then the other names on our list, but for some reason i really see it working with a little [name]Ivy[/name]. Maybe not as a first name, but maybe as a middle name? [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]Veda[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Veda[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Bea[/name] [name]Veda[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? [name]Georgia[/name] [name]Agnes[/name] [name]Veda[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Linny[/name] [name]Veda[/name] [name]Gray[/name]?
[name]Seb[/name] just ran through the door with rosy cheeks from playing outside in the leaves. Makes me can’t wait to meet his two little siblings!
