on [name]Charlotte[/name] nn [name]Lola[/name].

[name]Charlotte[/name] has been one of my favorites for years now and I had previously loved [name]Lottie[/name] as a nn for it (still like it, but not as much as [name]Lola[/name]), and I had loved [name]Lola[/name] as a nn, but it never seemed to work for [name]Charlotte[/name] for me. Lately my mind is changing, though, and I think [name]Charlotte[/name] nn [name]Lola[/name] is so adorable. I like that she would have the fuller [name]Charlotte[/name] to fall back on, and I would probably call her [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Lola[/name], and [name]Lottie[/name] almost equally. Does [name]Lola[/name] seem too contrived as a nn?

I think [name]Lola[/name] works just fine as a nn. If [name]Lola[/name] can work as a nn for [name]Dolores[/name], why not [name]Charlotte[/name]?

So funny my dd’s name is [name]Lola[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] :slight_smile: [name]Lola[/name] is in honor of her great grandmother [name]Lola[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] after her grandfather [name]Charles[/name] :slight_smile:

I think [name]Charlotte[/name] can definitely be called [name]Lola[/name] for short, I see no reason why not! I actually prefer it to [name]Charley[/name]/[name]Lottie[/name], its fresher, and has more spunk. I really like it :slight_smile: What kind of middle names were you thinking?

I definitely think it can work! I know a [name]Charlotte[/name] that goes by [name]Lolly[/name], and that isn’t so different.

Thanks, ladies! I don’t know, I don’t think [name]Lola[/name]'s as obvious a nn since [name]Charlotte[/name] doesn’t have the long “OH” sound that [name]Lola[/name] has. Still, it just seems to work lately.

[name]Lucy[/name]–I don’t know about combos! I’ve always been partial to [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Eden[/name]–[name]Eden[/name] for religious reasons–and I had [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Eden[/name] [name]Lily[/name] (for my grandmother) or [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Eden[/name] [name]Winter[/name]/[name]Ruby[/name]/[name]Rue[/name] (for my sister; [name]Ruby[/name]/[name]Rue[/name] would also be for my grandmother), but I don’t like that most of those combos would be 2-2-2-2 flow with my ln. I do really love [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Eden[/name], but I seem to get stumped after that. And [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Eden[/name] seems to be the only [name]Charlotte[/name] combo I seem to love…
