Just met a little girl named

Larabee! What do you think? I’m kind of digging it!

It doesn’t sound like a proper name… [name]Don[/name]'t think it will age well.

I agree. It sounds like some form of tobacco product to me.

Sounds like a nickname to me. I guess she could always go with just [name]Lara[/name].

[name]How[/name] is it said? I know a family with the surname Larrabee (LAIR-uh-bee), so it doesn’t sound very feminine to me. I think it has a cute sound, though, and [name]Lara[/name] [name]Bea[/name] would be adorable.

I just googled it and as well as a family name, it is also a place name -in [name]California[/name] & [name]Louisiana[/name]. It’s also the name of a character in “Get Smart”

I think its cute  Does sound nickname-ish though…

I do think that [name]Lara[/name] nn Larabee is cute. But as a proper name it’s too close to [name]Laramie[/name] for me and the [name]Laramie[/name] Project.

It sounds like a product… like an organic granola bar or lip balm.

I don’t like it at all. It has a very nicknamish, immature sound to it [name]IMO[/name].

I love names with that sort of sound, even though i get much of the same reactions  Like [name]Waverly[/name], Everleigh, Wimberly (this one gotcringes galore on the site, but i still love it), some others i can’t think of now!
I pronounce it like lair-a-bee. It doesn’t surprise me that it’s a place in [name]Louisiana[/name], it sounds like a southern name to me! (which isn’t a bad thing to this girl!!)
[name]Edit[/name] to [name]Add[/name]- I do wonder how it would age throughout the girl’s life, however (which is a similar concern with the other names i mentioned, too)

Not fond of surname-names.

[name]Bee[/name] is cute. [name]Lara[/name] is cute. Larabee doesn’t do much for me. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever heard but it would need some sort of family connection to ever make my list, and even then I’d probably chuck it in the middle.

It was pronounced with a short “a” sound like in cat. Maybe it was because she was such a cute baby that I liked her name so much. I just thought it sounded unexpected and refreshing.

I actually kind of like it. It reminds me of the boy name [name]Zebedee[/name], which I love. The [name]Lara[/name] part sounds pretty, and the [name]Bee[/name] part is cute. I wouldn’t use it myself, but I can see the appeal.

I like it. I know there was a character on a TV show with that name, some western I swear.

Magnificent [name]Seven[/name], which was a TV show in the '90s.

(But my favourite names from it were [name]Josiah[/name] and [name]Ezra[/name]).

It’s also the surname of the brothers from [name]Sabrina[/name]. [name]Linus[/name] and [name]David[/name] Larrabee.

Larrabee sounds cute as a nickname but as a name I don’t like it. I really don’t think it will age well and I really do think that it wouldn’t carry well into a job as a lawyer, doctor etc.

Not a good name at all

I can definitely see the appeal - I’m crushing over names like [name]Willoughby[/name]/Willabee and [name]Phoebe[/name] atm, and [name]Lara[/name] [name]Bee[/name] as a divided name is the epitome of cuteness - but when squished together you loose the beauty of the two names, and the harsh “r”/“rab” sound that emerges kind of eclipses the femininity.
