[name_m]Ive[/name_m] been crushing on the name [name_f]Tesla[/name_f] lately. What do you think about the name [name_f]Tesla[/name_f]? Does it go with my other names?
I automatically think of [name_f]Nikola[/name_f] [name_f]Tesla[/name_f]. For me it is very tied to the man so it makes it hard for me to picture it on a child unless I wanted to honor him/looked up to him. He was quite the fella so this wouldn’t be a bad thing. We actually have him to thank for electricity. Interesting history between him and [name_m]Edison[/name_m]. Anyhoo point is:
If I met a [name_f]Tesla[/name_f] I’d ask if they were [name_f]Nikola[/name_f] [name_f]Tesla[/name_f] fans!
I like to think more than a few people know who [name_f]Tesla[/name_f] was, but I could be wrong or they may know of him but not associate the name. Hopefully some others will weigh in here.
It doesn’t really go with your other names, which seem more old-fashioned and a little clunky/stuffy as far as the girls’ names go.
I’ve always thought it sounded alright, kind of cutesy. It totally is a good girls name.
There’s something very hipster about it to me. It’s similar to when people name their kid [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] because they read To Kill A Mockingbird (Yes, we get it, you know who [name_u]Nicola[/name_u] [name_f]Tesla[/name_f] is. Good for you).
I am a big fan of the nickname [name_f]Tess[/name_f] though and looking at your list, I think [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], [name_f]Tess[/name_f] or [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] would all go a lot better with your other girl names.
I agree with aym and pansy; I think of [name_f]Tesla[/name_f] the physicist. But, that said, it’s still a great name. And yes, it does go with the names in your signature.
