Just your FAV name ever

“English names are considered “trashy”. Such a shame… Still looking for something I love the same amount.”

And kind of harsh too. xD

[name]River[/name]. [name]Free[/name] spirited and happy sounding with great imagery.

Anabelle

Timeless with plenty of nicknames and ultra feminine.

Would have to agree with pp- [name]Alice[/name] is my fave, although [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] aren’t far behind. None are in the top 35-ish in the UK so they’re not majorly popular, but still pretty and classic

Girl: [name]Luna[/name]

I’ve loved this name since I was really young. [name]Even[/name] as a kid I knew that I wanted a daughter named [name]Luna[/name]. To me, [name]Luna[/name] Lovegood is just a plus because I love [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name]. Also, my best friend’s middle name is [name]Luna[/name]. I think [name]Luna[/name] is the perfect name for a beautiful girl. I just wish it would sounds better with my second favourite name, [name]Ida[/name], so I could use it as a middle name. [name]Luna[/name] [name]Ida[/name] doesn’t really work though.

Boy: [name]William[/name]

It’s classic, but always beautiful. It ages well too. When I think of someone named [name]William[/name], I just think of someone very handsome and nice. It looks and sounds strong but soft at the same time.

[name]Isabelle[/name].

I love how girly and sweet it is, without being frilly, per se, and I love its meaning, “my God is a vow”, which pretty much encompasses everything I’ve come to know and believe about my Savior, and it’s something I really would like to pass on to a future daughter. I love that the predominant nn I’d use, [name]Bella[/name]/[name]Belle[/name], means “beautiful” in Italian/Spanish and French, so I like that it passes down my love for languages, as well, and I love that it relates to [name]Elizabeth[/name], so it also reminds me of [name]Elizabeth[/name] in the Bible, and I love the story of when [name]John[/name] was in her womb and he jumped when [name]Mary[/name], carrying [name]Jesus[/name], came into the room. I love that it’s been steadily decreasing from about 2007, as well–it’s 114 right now, and hopefully by the time I get to use it it’ll be down to about 150 or so.

I just love everything about it, and can’t wait to have my own [name]Isabelle[/name]!

[name]Addison[/name]. (It’s my first daughters name.) Fell in love with it the moment I heard it. I think it’s feminine, yet strong. And not OVERLY popular or common.

I love the name [name]Auden[/name]. It is pretty, but not girly and it is after one of my favorite poets.

Girl - [name]Saskia[/name], because I never get sick of it and it’s so much fun to say. Runners up: [name]Gwendolen[/name] and [name]Raina[/name]
Boy - [name]Caspian[/name], because of the sea and how rare it is and the [name]Narnia[/name] reference. Runner up: [name]Archer[/name]. It’s just great.

[name]Alice[/name]. It’s a classic name with a long history, recognizably feminine without being frilly, and I think it’s beautiful.

[name]Maya[/name]…my daughter’s name is [name]Maya[/name] [name]Isabel[/name]…
I have loved thisname for a really really long time…I almost spelled it [name]Maia[/name]…I absolutly cannot stand it being spelled [name]Mya[/name]…or [name]Myah[/name]…or [name]Miah[/name]…ick
It means gods creative force…

[name]Esme[/name] (ez-may) - I’m a literary lover so JD [name]Salinger[/name]'s ‘For [name]Esme[/name]’ is an inspiration… Plus I love the feminity (a la [name]Ella[/name] and/or [name]Renee[/name]) without it being common at all.
… [name]Just[/name] wish my husband would love it too :frowning:

thank you all, you’ve been very helpful

[name]Charlotte[/name] ! I’d use it despite it’s raging popularity. (boo) I’ve loved the name since I was a kid, ever since I read [name]Charlotte[/name]'s [name]Web[/name] and The [name]True[/name] Confessions of [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Doyle[/name] and more recently all of [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Bronte[/name]'s books! It’s classic, elegant, timeless, and lush. It’s a name that will age well. People will take this name seriously. There’s a versatile array of nicknames from the tomboyish [name]Charlie[/name] to the sweet and vintage [name]Lottie[/name]. It’s perfect really! I do hope that it’s not nearly as popular for when I have kids. (which won’t be for a while, ha!) I still love the idea of having a [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Belle[/name], (or [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Belle[/name] /[name]Lottie[/name] [name]Belle[/name] , these are the nicknames I’d call her) whenever that time comes! :]

[name]Lucy[/name]. Vingtage, timeless, elegant, sweet, intelligent, strong, and beautiful. It means “light”, which is such a gorgeous meaning. The type of name I can imagine on various types of people. Familiar, yet underused. [name]Just[/name] perfect, I can’t think of a better name.

For a boy, it would be [name]Noah[/name]. Classic, strong, charming and handsome. The type of name I can imagine on an energy filled little boy and an older gentlemen. [name]Just[/name] perfection.

My first son and daughter will be [name]Noah[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name].

[name]Eleanor[/name], because I smile every time I think of it.

Girl-[name]Eliza[/name]…behind [name]Ellary[/name], [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Leighton[/name]
Boy-[name]Nolan[/name]…behind [name]Liam[/name], [name]Grant[/name], and [name]Holden[/name]

[name]Mia[/name]

but the “miss popular mean girl” who graduated a year ahead of me is named [name]Mia[/name]. so that’s all I think of.

I love [name]Alice[/name]. It’s just a name that has always spoken to me, very classic and very beautiful.

[name]Ariana[/name] - pretty, girly, frilly, european flair of a name that I’ve loved since I was a teenager. Dh doesn’t agree with me on this name love though so none of our girls were named it!
