Kai? Pronunciation & thoughts?

[name]Kai[/name] is pronounced kye - rhymes with eye. Right?
I quite like it, but I’m curious to hear your thoughts. [name]Kai[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] or [name]Kai[/name] [name]Richard[/name]?

I too, like [name]Kai[/name]. (Pronounced like [name]Ky[/name], yes rhymes with eye)
I especially like it as a nickname for [name]Malachi[/name].
In my opinion not a full name…(but I would probably use it as one…if I didn’t like [name]Malachi[/name] so much…)
Out of your middle name choices I prefer [name]Kai[/name] [name]Joseph[/name].

There’s an African-American weatherman in Los [name]Angeles[/name] with the rather Jewish sounding last name of [name]Kai[/name] Goldberg. I’d go with your initial instincts and go with [name]Kai[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]. [name]Kai[/name] [name]Richard[/name] seems like second place.

I really like [name]Kai[/name] and I have been thinking about adding it to my list recently. Yes it’s pronounced like [name]Ky[/name], rhymes with eye. I prefer [name]Kai[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] to [name]Kai[/name] [name]Richard[/name] but I don’t think either flow that well.

[name]One[/name] of my relatives is actually called [name]Kai[/name] [name]Joseph[/name], so I kind of love it  But I like [name]Kai[/name] [name]Richard[/name] too- [name]Richard[/name]'s one of my favourite middle names. In the UK I’d say [name]Kai[/name] hasn’t got the best of images though. It does tend to be a ‘young mum’ name, especially with the [name]Kye[/name] spelling. But my relative isn’t like that, so I’ve got nothing but positive images

[name]Kai[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] is my favourite, my son has a friend named [name]Kai[/name] and he’s a very nice boy so I have good associations with the name.

I like [name]Kai[/name]/[name]Cai[/name] as a nickname for [name]Malachi[/name] or [name]Mordecai[/name] but wouldn’t use it on its own. There are only a handful of one-syllable names I like on their own and [name]Kai[/name] is not one.

I dislike [name]Richard[/name] very much, so [name]Kai[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] by default.
