We might be a bit crazy, but we are still in love with [name_f]Calla[/name_f] after all these years of having a daughter [name_f]Kaia[/name_f].
It’s hubby’s #1 with [name_f]Willow[/name_f] trailing behind for #2.
[name_u]Kai[/name_u] and [name_u]Cal[/name_u] arent so bad together…right?
Is this name not an option for us? Or can we totally use it? wdyt?
With a Spanish pronunciation, [name_f]Calla[/name_f] and [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] are the same name spelled differently. [name_u]Kai[/name_u] & [name_u]Cal[/name_u] aren’t bad together, but I think [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] and [name_f]Calla[/name_f] are too close! I love [name_f]Willow[/name_f] to pieces, but I think you can have a “[name_u]Cal[/name_u]” without the tongue-twisting sibling confusion.

and rare but still possible and effortlessly beautiful [name_u]Pascale[/name_u].
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] & Calluna, [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] & [name_f]Calina[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] & [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]. All beautiful. I hope you find the ‘[name_u]Cal[/name_u]’ you’re looking for!
Hello, friend!
I think [name_f]Calla[/name_f] is swoonworthy and gorgeous, but [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] and [name_f]Calla[/name_f] is a bit disconcerting! It is a bit reassuring that [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]'s, [name_u]Jude[/name_u]'s, and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]'s names all come between, and [name_f]Tess[/name_f], [name_f]Kaia[/name_f], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], and [name_f]Calla[/name_f] looks like a GORGEOUS sibset, but I wonder if they might not be too similar. Have you considered [name_f]Calla[/name_f] as a middle? I don’t know if you’re still looking at [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Calla[/name_f] is super cute. I want to say that [name_f]Calla[/name_f] and [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is okay, though. I wonder how [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] would feel about it? I suppose a nn (like [name_f]Callie[/name_f]) would help distinguish, unless you call [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] “[name_u]Kai[/name_u]” frequently?
Basically, I’m no help at all.
([name_m]How[/name_m] are you, btw? I was just looking at [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]'s birth announcement on here, and I can’t believe [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is already that old! She’ll be nine this year?! I remember when she was just a little tot on your avatar on parentsconnect, haha!)
Thank you for your response!
That really is a good idea. I Want to like [name_f]Calista[/name_f] and [name_f]Calliope[/name_f], but they dont work for me.
I found [name_f]Calanthe[/name_f] that we really like. hmm.
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] [name_u]Ash[/name_u]! It’s so nice to hear from you!
Yes, [name_f]Tess[/name_f] really is that old! and that really was such a cute avatar pic of her. haha. I cant believe ive been on these boards for that long. Lol
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Calla[/name_f] is so darling. I wouldve never thought to pair them together.
I came across [name_f]Calanthe[/name_f]. It’s the scientific name for [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] orchids- which has lots of sentimental value for us. Hubby LOVES it. which is surprising. He never loves names. it literally means, beautiful flower.
wdyt??
I love seeing you pop back in here every now and then. I can’t believe I’ve been on name boards that long, either! (And you and [name_m]Jason[/name_m] must make super cute babies, if that photo of [name_f]Tess[/name_f] is anything to go by! ;))
Not sure why I thought to pair it together, either, lol, other than all the posts you’ve made in the past year or so about [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]. I’d been scrolling through some of your old threads to see what names you’ve been into since [name_f]Evie[/name_f] was born, and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] came up quite a lot. It just sort of clicked.
I like [name_f]Calanthe[/name_f] a lot, actually! And I think it follows the natural progression of your sibset from [name_f]Tess[/name_f] to [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] to [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] to [name_u]Jude[/name_u] to [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] would you say it–cah-LANN-thee? That’s how I’ve been saying it, anyhow. I also love [name_f]Calandra[/name_f], which also may appeal to you? It’s an ancient Greek name, according to Nameberry, that means “lark”. I came across it in a novel I read about a year ago, set in Regency [name_f]England[/name_f]. She was an Italian musician who played the violin, and she was kind, elegant, beautiful, gentle, inspiring. Almost larger than life, in a way. I find [name_f]Calandra[/name_f] to be so dainty and unexpected–like [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] or [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], but fresher (and with the lovely option of [name_f]Calla[/name_f] for a nn!).
