I have been in love with [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]/[name_f]Caia[/name_f] for ages. I’ve been flip-flopping between spelling. [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is the name combo I have been dead-set on. But I worry it’s a bit too “weird” of a middle name.
Lately I have loved longer [name_m]French[/name_m] names. These are other options I really like:
I think I’ve been staring at the name combos/spellings for too long because I am so confused as to which ones I prefer! Thoughts?
If you want to suggest any other middle names just know that the last name is 2 syllables, and ends with an “is” sound. I don’t like the sound of a double ‘a’ sound (example: [name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]).
I’d love your input/thoughts/suggestions! Thanks (:
I love [name_f]Caia[/name_f] much more than [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. It has a gentler, sweeter feeling than the bold K. [name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] are gorgeous.
Perhaps if you like [name_m]French[/name_m] names:
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Manon[/name_f]
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Flore[/name_f]
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] Maximilie
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Maxine[/name_f]
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Basilie[/name_f]
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Nathalie[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] too! And [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] isn’t truly that weird, I’ve met at least two little Junipers! [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is super cute!
I love [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]! I think it’s a fabulous combo, definitely doesn’t strike me as “too weird” at all. It’s my favorite from your list. I prefer [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] over [name_f]Caia[/name_f] by a mile, it just seems stronger to me. I love [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] too :). (What about [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u]?)
I knew I shouldn’t be second guessing my favourite! I adore [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. My name starts with the letter ‘C’ so for some reason that’s why the spelling of [name_f]Caia[/name_f] is less favourable to me.
My mom is the one who made me question [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] to be honest. I think I’ll be discussing names with my SO (and nameberry) only from now on. I enjoy [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] because it feels more spunky and fun. But I also enjoy [name_f]Caia[/name_f] because of the more “lovely” and gentle feel.
I was just discussing with my SO and showed him the 3 replies so far. You all have eased my mind and I appreciate it. We’ve narrowed the list to:
I think [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] sounds great. Very modern and spunky, but not outlandish or anything!
I love the choice of [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]/[name_f]Caia[/name_f]. For some reason I feel that [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is the more intuitive spelling for this name, but [name_f]Caia[/name_f] does feel “right” paired with certain middle names from your list (like [name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] in your short list). I think all three names on your narrowed down list are lovely, here are my thoughts on the three combos:
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] --this one stands out the most (in a good way!). I think it’s my favorite of your three choices aesthetically, but as much as I love the sound and imagery of [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], I have a slight concern that it might end up feeling a bit dated down the line (on the other hand MOST names are dated in one way or another, even very traditional ones, so I wouldn’t let this disqualify it either).
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] --this is the one I personally would be most likely to use because I see [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] as a bit more contemporary, so I’d want pair it with something that feels more traditional, but still matches the bright, energetic feel of [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], a vivacious and elegant name, it does exactly this!
[name_f]Caia[/name_f] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] --feels like the most traditional of the three, but to me it also lacks a little bit of the energy/spunkiness of the other two combos. The “C” spelling feels a little softer, the two names pair well together, and of course [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is now a very well-established, popular choice. [name_m]Just[/name_m] out of curiosity, how do you pronounce [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]? With this spelling I go to the [name_m]French[/name_m] pronunciation of “Mad-len.”
I really do think any of the three would be lovely. Overall, I’d say [name_f]Caia[/name_f] Medeleine if you’re feeling a little conservative, [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] if you’re feeling brave, and [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] as the middle ground between the two.
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is so perfect! Its elegant without sounding too frilly, its bold but not weird. Extra points for using nature names that aren’t overused (ex: [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_u]Ocean[/name_u]). I personally go with the K spelling but both are really pretty, good luck!
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] for me, too! I love the etymologies of both, but I prefer [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] just slightly. (Possibly because [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is a family name to me, and one of [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]'s origins is as a Scandinavian form of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].) I actually [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] more than all your other options! Second and third choices would be [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] Adeleine, I think.
Definitely [name_f]Caia[/name_f]. I’ve always loved the spelling of [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], but I’ve never been clear on the pronunciation. I also like [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f], as seen in your example.
