We have decided on [name]Kallan[/name] as a first name for our first baby, a boy!
This site has [name]Kallan[/name] listed as a girls name?! I was surprised to hear that… do you all feel it is a suitable boys name?
We are not sold on the spelling yet, but know we want a K.
As for middle names - we have 3 ideas, they are drastically different from eachother… (last name starts with L)
[name]Kallan[/name] [name]Jacob[/name] - Really the ring of it - concerned jacob is too biblical or too common
[name]Kallan[/name] [name]Maverick[/name] - [name]Love[/name] the flow, love what [name]Maverick[/name] stands for, love that it’s different, but is it too much?
[name]Kallan[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - My father’s middle name…and sounds strong.
Would love your opinion on the three above and open to ideas as well!
My favorite is [name]Kallan[/name] [name]Robert[/name]. It sounds so very strong and handsome. My second favorite would be [name]Jacob[/name]. I don’t care much for [name]Maverick[/name], but that aside I think the repeating short “a” sounds together are kind of odd, but not the worst thing in the world, definitely. If you love that one best, definitely use it.
For your consideration – Nameberry has [name]Kallan[/name] as a girls name but [name]Callan[/name] as a male name. I actually like the flow of [name]Kallan[/name] [name]Maverick[/name] the best but prefer the meaning of [name]Kallan[/name] [name]Robert[/name].
I like them all but my vote goes to [name]Kallan[/name] [name]Robert[/name]. I like when people use family names for the MN. It is also very stong and handsome.
I like [name]Kallan[/name]! I have never heard this name on a girl. I like the sound of [name]Kallan[/name] [name]Jacob[/name] and [name]Kallan[/name] [name]Robert[/name] the best. I think it’s great when you can honor a family member but really either combination is very nice.
I love the name [name]Kallan[/name] and had wanted to give my second son the name, who’s due in jan but unfortunately it’s too close in sound to his brother [name]Caiden[/name]. I was going to spell it [name]Calen[/name]. I like the C’s, you like the K’s.
Only reason I was going for the C spelling is because my surname starts with a K.
You could spell it [name]Kalen[/name].
Out of the middle names I would choose [name]Robert[/name].
I do like the other two, I just think [name]Robert[/name] goes better.
Depends if you want the first and middle name to be ‘different’, then go for [name]Maverick[/name].
But as you say, [name]Robert[/name] is ‘strong’ and you’re honouring your father.
I’ve never heard the name [name]Kallan[/name], [name]Kalen[/name] or [name]Calen[/name] on a girl and it is definitely all boy to me.

My daughter just named her 4th son [name_m]Kellan[/name_m] [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]. [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] it!!
I do think that it is a dis-service to give children trendy names like [name_m]Maverick[/name_m]… you have to remember that he will still have that name when he is 80 years old
I love the name [name]Kellan[/name] also which is pretty similar…
