Hmmm it’s a tough call, I think I gravitate toward [name]Catarina[/name] myself.
[name]Caterina[/name] looks more like a surname for me, but I know someone with it so that may be the only reason why!

[name]Ekaterina[/name] is nice as well!

Well, I’m a sucker for Eastern European names, so I’m going to go with [name]Katarina[/name].

None, I like [name]Katerina[/name]. If I had to choose from those three, then it’d be [name]Caterina[/name].

I struggle with this exact problem — for me, I’d love to use my great-grandmother’s spelling, [name]Katarina[/name] (the Slovak spelling), but I also have an overwhelmingly strong Italian background from my father’s side, so [name]Caterina[/name] would work wonderfully too. Plus, there is a charming Italian movie called, “[name]Caterina[/name] va in città” ([name]Caterina[/name] in the Big City) that really warmed me up to the [name]Caterina[/name] spelling.

You can’t go wrong with any spelling. It’s wonderful in any variation.

I agree. I think out of all the “Cats” ending with “-rina” – I prefer [name]Ekaterina[/name].

It’s a beautiful name regardless, but I prefer [name]Katarina[/name]. [name]Kat[/name]/[name]Kate[/name] is a nickname possibility I prefer to [name]Cat[/name]/[name]Cate[/name], I think it looks better with a K

I voted for Caterina but it was a very close tie between Catarina and Katerina. One plus for Katarina is that is Kat’s full name in 10 Things I Hate About You based off of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. IMO, Caterina looks too similar to catering.

Wow, a lot of mixed opinions here!! I have no Slovak or Italian roots in me, but I like the connnections nevertheless.
