I prefer [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Audrey[/name].
Another vote for [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Audrey[/name].
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name]?
Yes if we took [name]Audrey[/name] as the first name, she would be [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name].
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name] sounds appealing to me, and I also like the flow of the longer [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]/[name]Catherine[/name]. That’s the one I’d go with because I have a weakness for saying the first and middle name (or nn’s) together for some reason. I can hear myself saying [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name] over and over again. But, not [name]Kate[/name] [name]Audrey[/name]. Though, both as singly-said fn’s are great (if that makes sense).
I like to do the “playground test”. [name]Imagine[/name], or pretend, yelling out the name across a playground. Whatever you’re planning on using. “[name]Audrey[/name]”, “[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name]”, “[name]Kate[/name]”, ect… For some reason, that really helps me decide what I think sounds the best.
I think [name]Katherine[/name]/[name]Catherine[/name] are and will be on the rise with the addition of [name]Catherine[/name]/[name]Kate[/name] to the [name]Royal[/name] Family. The name is getting so much more exposure, in Europe mostly…but also in the rest of the world. It’s a lovely name and I think it will get used a lot more often in the coming years. So, if you were wanting something a little less popular as the fn, I’d pick [name]Audrey[/name] for that reason too.
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]!
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name] would be really cute!
Thanks for all the comments! Looks like [name]Audrey[/name] is getting most of the votes! But do you think [name]Audrey[/name] is getting very popular now and might not be as timeless as [name]Katherine[/name]/[name]Kate[/name]?
I really like the flow of [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]; however, [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Audrey[/name] has my vote because I know so, so many little girls with the middle name [name]Katherine[/name]/nn [name]Kate[/name]. That is just my opinion, but I would much prefer [name]Katherine[/name] as a first name. Regardless of popularity, though, both are lovely, classic choices.
I like [name]Kate[/name] better as a first name, but combining the two [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Katherine[/name] both sound better than their reverses.
I don’t think [name]Audrey[/name] will ever get Too popular. Never as popular as [name]Katherine[/name]/[name]Catherine[/name]. And, even though the [name]Kate[/name]'s are “timeless”, I think [name]Audrey[/name] will always be considered a classic/classy name. If for no other reason than [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn and it’s Shakespearean connection.
[name]Hi[/name] Berries, I’ve my baby girl with me at home now and at the end we decided to name her [name]Kate[/name] [name]Gabriella[/name]. My DH still couldn’t fall in love with both [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Audrey[/name]. After we sent out the announcement people started asking me why we name her [name]Kate[/name] rather than complimenting on the name. So what do you think of [name]Kate[/name] [name]Gabriella[/name]?
