We’d call her [name]Kate[/name]. Thoughts on the name? [name]Both[/name] are family names. Her big sister is [name]Emory[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (also both family names). [name]How[/name] do they go? Thanks in advance, ladies!
I really like the combo, and I think it goes very well with [name]Emory[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. The quirkiness of [name]Olive[/name] balances out the classic, solid feel of [name]Katherine[/name] very well.
I would prefer [name]Olive[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]…I think this has a lighter, unique combination. [name]Katherine[/name] is a pretty name…just not a favorite of mine.
I think it’s really nice, and I don’t even care for the name [name]Olive[/name]!
I prefer [name]Emory[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Olive[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]. [name]Both[/name] cute, unique first names paired with classic middle names.
[name]Katherine[/name] [name]Olive[/name] is beautiful! [name]Katherine[/name] is my favourite girls name.
I agree. I like the 5 letter/ 9 letter symmetry of the names as well.
Normally, I really, really dislike [name]Olive[/name]. It’s just waaaaayyy to out there for me, in addition to being a food. But with [name]Katherine[/name], which can be boring with a predictable middle name, I really like it. I think really unique middle names with traditional firsts are fantastic, and I like that it’s a family name for you.
Thank you everyone! I also like [name]Olive[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], but unfortunately my husband does not. It’s kind of even twisting his arm to use [name]Olive[/name] to begin with - but he loves my grandmother so much he’s willing to use it. What about [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Plum[/name]? We both really like that, but plum is not a family name. So does that make it weird to be used? Can I also get your thoughts on some other names? Which of these go best with [name]Emory[/name] and why?
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Frances[/name]
[name]Rose[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
Keep it comin!!!
I like [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Olive[/name] more then [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Plum[/name] but depending on the LN I think it could work. I don’t really think [name]Katherine[/name] and [name]Emory[/name] go well together. I loooooove [name]Emory[/name] with [name]Frances[/name]!!! I think they fit perfectly together!!
Catheirl - I agree with your love of [name]Emory[/name] and [name]Frances[/name]! I too think it goes perfectly. I’m just not sure if I really like any of the [name]Frances[/name] nicknames. Suggestions??? Oh, and for [name]Katherine[/name], we’d call her [name]Kate[/name]… does that make it sound more suitable? I think both have a strong and solid sense about them.
I agree, [name]Emory[/name] and [name]Frances[/name] are perfect together!!
nn suggestions: [name]France[/name], [name]Francie[/name], [name]Franny[/name], [name]Frankie[/name], Cess, Cessie.
I also think [name]Violet[/name] is pretty with [name]Emory[/name]. nn’s : [name]Vi[/name], [name]Lettie[/name].
good luck, & let us know what you are thinking (:
[name]Kate[/name] is better with [name]Emory[/name] but not as great as [name]Frances[/name] [name]IMO[/name]. I see what you mean about NNs for it though. I’m not a fan of [name]Frankie[/name] or [name]Fran[/name] but [name]Fanny[/name], Cessie and [name]Sissy[/name] are a bit better.
[name]Katherine[/name] [name]Olive[/name] is great, keep it!
