I’ve never really given [name]Katherine[/name] much thought. It’s pretty popular/common/etc and I usually like names that are not even in the top 1000. But it just sounds so grown up and beautiful! I am also a big fan of most of [name]Katherine[/name]'s nicknames (although I wouldn’t use any of them- since I already have a nickname in mind ).
I was just wondering what you guys honestly think of [name]Katherine[/name]? Is it too popular now? Too boring? Or does it still have that classy and sophisticated feel?
I absolutely love [name]Katherine[/name] and I adore the name [name]Kate[/name]. If you’re afraid of it being too popular, you could always do a slight variation, like [name]Katherina[/name] or [name]Katerina[/name].
[name]Just[/name] curious, what nickname do you have in mind?
I have considered [name]Katerina[/name] (and [name]Katarina[/name])…but I think I prefer [name]Katherine[/name] now (I also like it with a C). The nickname I am considering (don’t laugh!) is honestly: [name]Katniss[/name]. I know, I know too Hunger Games! But I am pretty much obsessed with that series Plus I wouldn’t call her [name]Katniss[/name] all the time…most of the time it would be just [name]Katherine[/name].
But it’s not in stone so I might not go with [name]Katherine[/name] at all! I’m just considering it at the moment
[name]Katherine[/name] (and its variants) gets a lot of love on here. It’s obviously not ugly or tacky in the least, but I find it incredibly boring, to be honest. It’s up there with [name]Sarah[/name] as All Time Most Boring Girls’ Name, to my mind.
