[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is one of my favourite girl’s names. [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] is on the plain side for me.

Definitely [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] is sweet, but imo, rather plain.

Thank you for the feedback!

I prefer [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] because of [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] (she started the Riot Grrrl movement)!

One of the very rare cases in which I love them both equally!

I voted for [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]. However I really like the nickname [name_f]Katie[/name_f] for [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] and [name_f]Bridie[/name_f] for [name_f]Bridget[/name_f].

Definitely [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f].

I voted [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. The name has so much heritage.(and I love [name_f]Brighid[/name_f]) But like PP [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] has such a beautiful lilt.
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is so strong, individual - like nns Brydie or [name_u]Britt[/name_u].
[name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] is yet another variant of [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] names, and another ‘leen’ or ‘een’ name. [name_f]Eileen[/name_f], [name_f]Aileen[/name_f], Caireen.
I know people do accidentally substitute such names. [name_u]Nick[/name_u] name?
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is a stand out.

I like both, but [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is much more youthful and versatile imo

I love [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]! [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] seems plain to me.

Thank you all for the votes and responses!

My DH slightly prefers [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] (if she had a nickname, it would be [name_f]Kat[/name_f]) I slightly prefer [name_f]Bridget[/name_f].

She’s due in about a month, and after so many back and forth’s with her name, I think we’re going to have to wait until she’s here to decide.

I haven’t met a little [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] in a long time, so it would be refreshing. Due to all the Katherines, Caitlins, … there are loads of little Katies at my daughter’s school.

[name_f]Susan[/name_f]

That’s my reason for a holdout on [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]: would she be called [name_f]Kathy[/name_f] or [name_f]Katie[/name_f]? I don’t want either of those nicknames and sometimes it’s beyond the parents’ control. My husband has loved [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] forever, as it has family significance, and I do love its warmth and friendliness. [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is bright and happy and one I find no fault with (except her initials would be BS, but neither one of us care about that).

[name_u]Love[/name_u] both, but I wouldn’t use [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] as a first name because it’s likely to be shortened to [name_f]Kathy[/name_f]. 8 love the name [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f], as well as the nickname [name_f]Bridie[/name_f].

I agree! [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] would be [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]

I love both, but I absolutely adore [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]. I would use it in a second.

[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] for sure (though I prefer [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f])! [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] I’ve never been a fan of. [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Katrina[/name_f], [name_f]Caitriona[/name_f] (different spelling of [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]), & [name_f]Catalina[/name_f], yes, but not [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f].

I seem to be in the minority here, but I like [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] (nothing wrong [name_f]IMO[/name_f] with [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] though, just my preference).

Thank you, everyone!
