Kathryn?

Thoughts on [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] (with this spelling) ?

i love it! it’s my favourite spelling! it might get misspelled, but it’s fairly common enough to be useable

I prefer the [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] spelling - [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] looks abrupt to me by comparison- but it’s a great, timeless name with great nicknames.

I’m a Kathryn and I love my name. It’s well known and has lots of versatility with nicknames. In my professional life it has served me well too. I do have to spell it out for people a lot but I do that with my last name too so it’s not a big issue. I much prefer it to the Catherine/Katharine etc variants, you say it as it’s spelt.

[name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] has a sharp and cool look

I love the name Katherine (Catharine is my personal favorite spelling)! Kathryn out of all the spellings it my least favorite though.

I’m not sure why, but I’ve always preferred the [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] spellings. There’s nothing “wrong” with [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] though. It’s a lovely and classic name, regardless of spelling.

I know a 9-year-old [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] who wears it well. She was named for a [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], and I think her parents wanted her to have her “own” spelling.

Not my favourite spelling, but I do like all versions of this classic.

I love it! It is not my preferred spelling, but it is very similar (I prefer Katheryn). I think the difference between the [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] spelling and the [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] spelling is that [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] seems very formal and for some reason it seems so much more fancy and prestigious if you go by [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and not Catie/Katie, whereas with [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] it seems a lot less formal and you can go by [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] just as fine, along with Kate/Katie/Kat. I’m not sure if that made sense, but to me [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] and [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] give off different vibes, and I prefer the [name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] vibe
