[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries!
I was thinking about the name [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] (Kaia, Kaiya) and it occurred to me that a name with the prononciation Kay-ah would be in the same family, but feel a little less popular and more unique.
How would you spell the name Kay-ah without it being confused for Kai-ah?
[name_f]Kayah[/name_f] like [name_f]Laylah[/name_f]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] Keia like [name_f]Leia[/name_f] ?
Probably Keia for me thanks!
Honestly, [name_u]Kaya[/name_u]! [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] is much more popular than [name_u]Kaya[/name_u], so if I saw [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] I’d actually just assume it was meant to be pronounced kay-ah, not keye-ah.
Keia is a good suggestion! I would pronounce [name_u]Kaya[/name_u], [name_f]Kayah[/name_f], etc. still as ky-uh.
I think just [name_u]Kaya[/name_u] probably! [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Kayah[/name_f], Keia, Keya, [name_f]Kaiya[/name_f], Keiya
I would spell it Keya or Keiya.
i’d go for keia !! it’s unambiguous to me. kaya i would say like kaia because of kayak, and while i would hesitate on kayah, i’d probably say that like kaia too. keia is clearest to me (and also possibly prettiest), while keya and keiya are also up there. i’d probably pronounce keya and keiya how you want, but i’d wonder if they might be kee-uh.
[name_u]Kaya[/name_u] probably. I’ve met a few people with the spelling [name_f]Maya[/name_f] who pronounce it May-uh, so I think it could work
I would still spell it [name_u]Kaya[/name_u]. I remember once I was in an American [name_f]Girl[/name_f] Dol fashion show, and me and the other girls were all debating the pronunciation of the doll [name_u]Kaya[/name_u]. I’d always said kai-yuh, but most of the girls there had been pronouncing it kay-uh. So, I think it can have either pronunciation intuitively.
I know someone named this! She spells her name Keya.
