Keep going back

I keep going back to the name [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], but I’m not sure if I can use it.
A little background, I’m FtM and was considering going by [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] since I think it’s similar enough to [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] if I couldn’t use it.

Why I’m thinking I can’t use it is because I know of a family where I went to school with the oldest (who shares the same name as my older brother), and his younger brother’s name is [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]. Is that TOO weird if I use the name [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]?

The other reason is I can’t pronounce 'R’s the best, so would I frustrate myself if I tell people my name for them to respond with “what?” “could you repeat that?” “[replies with completely different name].”

I do love the name [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] and I think it could work, but maybe it’ll be better as a middle? But if I use it as a middle, I’d still want people to refer to me as [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] rather than the first.

If you love [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] use [name_u]Ryan[/name_u]! It is a common enough name that it won’t seem odd that you know a [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] as well.

Great name

If you love [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], use it!! It’s familiar enough it doesnr seem surprising that you went to school with another sibset of the same name

If you love it, you should absolutely use it! I don’t think the other family situation should be a dealbreaker, as [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] is a pretty common name.

I think the ‘R’ issue is ultimately your decision. I don’t think it’d be an issue for anyone else, but it’s up to you if you find it too frustrating or not.

I think either way you should use it. You seem to really love it. The way you talk about it, it seems like your name!!
