What ones would work in todays world? Which ones would you keep? Which ones would you toss?

Maura Pearl
Dinah Vivienne
Maisie Sawyer
Millie Verona

Tristan Lane
Archer Molloy
Gabriel Malone
Roscoe Sébastien
Alaric Beau
Emmett Hale
Shea Hasting
Bruno Lenox
Amos Cael
James Heath

Also Id love to hear what your earliest name loves/lists were!

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] → keep [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Geneva[/name_f], [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] doesn’t add anything for me

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Carina[/name_f] Bourré → it feels a bit too space focussed but then Bourre feels a bit out of keeping with that?

[name_f]Sunday[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] → I’m leaning keep - nicely balanced

[name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_m]Valentine[/name_m] - I like the simplicity of [name_f]Isla[/name_f] with bold [name_m]Valentine[/name_m] and the flow is pleasing. I go back and forth on [name_f]Isla[/name_f] but in this combo, it feels like a keep. (or [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_m]Valentine[/name_m] - combining with above)

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] - toss - nice enough but doesn’t really sparkle for me

[name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] Avera - not sure, but I do love [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] and the meaning of this, so keep

[name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] → undecided - because on one hand it’s got those clunky cool vintage vibes; on the other, is it too dusty, does [name_f]Maura[/name_f] feel a bit crusty when I say it? I don’t know but at the same time, I’d like to meet a little [name_f]Maura[/name_f]?

[name_f]Dinah[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] - keep - sharp and interesting

[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_m]Sawyer[/name_m] - this is fun and playful with quiet strength, I like it, so keep

[name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Verona[/name_f] - unexpected and charming, a nice choice

[name_m]Tristan[/name_m] [name_m]Lane[/name_m] - keep, I love both of these and they are cool together

[name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Molloy[/name_m] - interesting, they do sound cool together

[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_m]Malone[/name_m] - lose, there’s something that just doesn’t ring right with it for me when I say it

[name_m]Roscoe[/name_m] [name_m]Sébastien[/name_m] - love this, it’s got style and sparkle

[name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Beau[/name_m] - beautiful - keep - all rugged and charming and lovely

[name_m]Emmett[/name_m] [name_m]Hale[/name_m] - keep - this is so cool - earthy and autumnal

[name_f]Shea[/name_f] Hasting - I like the idea of it, but I think [name_f]Shea[/name_f] [name_m]Hastings[/name_m] would be cooler :person_shrugging:

[name_m]Bruno[/name_m] [name_m]Lenox[/name_m] - prefer [name_m]Lennox[/name_m] but [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] [name_m]Lenox[/name_m] has an edgy, musical feel

[name_m]Amos[/name_m] [name_m]Cael[/name_m] - not sure on this, it falls a bit flat for me - I do like [name_m]Amos[/name_m] a lot though

[name_m]James[/name_m] [name_m]Heath[/name_m] - lose for me, feels a bit bland, sorry

I would definitely keep [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Shiloh[/name_f] Avera, [name_f]Maura[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Dinah[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] / [name_m]Roscoe[/name_m] [name_m]Sébastien[/name_m], [name_m]Emmett[/name_m] [name_m]Hale[/name_m], [name_f]Shea[/name_f] Hasting and [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] [name_m]Lenox[/name_m] – not because the others didn’t age well or anything, I just like them.
[name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_m]Beau[/name_m] is quite nice but too descriptive, like “the pretty Alaric” as opposed to regular [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] [name_m]Malone[/name_m] is too Post [name_m]Malone[/name_m]. [name_m]Amos[/name_m] [name_m]Cael[/name_m] is intriguing but I’m unsure how to say it. I’m on the verge about [name_m]James[/name_m] [name_m]Heath[/name_m] because it doesn’t flow, but I like both names. [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_m]Valentine[/name_m] works well but I feel like [name_f]Isla[/name_f] has become very popular in the meantime. [name_f]Millie[/name_f] is too nicknamey for me but (this makes no sense I know) I totally would have picked [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_f]Verona[/name_f].

I could bite myself over this, I only have lists going back to 2013! I think I had a [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Juno[/name_f], and a sibset [name_m]Nelson[/name_m], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] & Lioba/Lydia, but that’s about all I remember.

  1. I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] but “Geneva” reminds me of the [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] Conventions and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] from that point seems a bit tacked on.

  2. Interesting! If “Bourré” was a last name I’d think it’d work.

  3. Vaguely reminds me of [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] Addams and “Josephine” has a very different vibe to “Sunday” but it’s pretty.

  4. This one’s really cute! As a frequenter of the Writers’ Corner I can see like a fantasy character with this name.

  5. This one’s really cute! I’d say it’d fit someone from the south.

  6. To be honest “Shiloh” sounds more masculine to me and I think it’d work better as a masculine name for that reason.

  7. I haven’t seen “Maura” before but “Maura Pearl” is cute!

  8. I think “Dinah” sounds slightly more modern (although not current-day modern) than “Vivienne”

  9. Again, very southern and I like it very much!

  10. same as “Dinah Vivienne”

  11. I really love this one, the “Lane” is simple and cute!

  12. I wouldn’t choose “Archer” for personal use but I really like the sound of “Archer Molloy”

  13. To be honest “Malone” reminds me of the rapper too much.

  14. In my opinion, “Roscoe” goes with the classier “Sébastien.”

  15. Very fancy but I kind of like that!

  16. Simple, sweet, and reminds me of [name_m]Emmet[/name_m] from Legally Blonde (the musical), which is a very pleasant association.

  17. I don’t really like the pronunciation vs. spelling of “Shea.”

  18. I prefer “Lennox” with two 'n’s, which I personally don’t think [name_m]Bruno[/name_m] goes particularly well with.

  19. Again, mainly reminds me of a fantasy character in the best way possible. The “Cael” doesn’t contrast too much with the [name_m]Amos[/name_m].

  20. Simple yet classic, I like it.

Of course these are all just my opinions, you do you fellow name nerd!
