Too me, [name]Finley[/name] [name]Cameron[/name] is all boy. I’m aware that they are both unisex names but on paper, it sounds very masculine. I would suggest either using it as a boy option (alongside [name]Miles[/name] [name]Anderson[/name], which is fantastic!!) or using a more feminine middle name.
I don’t mean to sound negative. I really do think you have a great naming style. xx
I’m not sure everyone would “get” the theme, especially since [name]Owen[/name] is not technically Scottish, which gives you a lot of latitude. [name]Miles[/name] is certainly an excellent match. [name]Finley[/name] has some Irish as well as Scottish blood, so you’re pushing the envelope again there anyway – maybe your theme is “Celtic Lite”? [name]How[/name] about [name]Milo[/name]? Not authentically Irish but well-used there. Fun!
When I think [name]Scotland[/name] I think:
[name]Lewis[/name]
[name]Iain[/name]
[name]Cameron[/name]
[name]James[/name]
[name]Donald[/name]
[name]Bruce[/name]
[name]Robert[/name]
[name]Alistair[/name]
[name]Jock[/name]
[name]Kenneth[/name]
[name]Stuart[/name]
[name]Scott[/name]
[name]Malcolm[/name]
[name]Callum[/name]
[name]Clyde[/name]
[name]Walter[/name]
[name]Kennedy[/name]
[name]Campbell[/name]
[name]Ewan[/name]
[name]Gregor[/name]
Since my knowledge of [name]Scotland[/name] is almost entirely based on Braveheart and [name]Billy[/name] [name]Connolly[/name] I would do some research but do any of these appeal? Actually [name]Connolly[/name] could be cute.
My favourite Scottish names happen to be [name]Hamish[/name] and [name]Alasdair[/name].
I do think [name]Miles[/name] sounds good with [name]Graham[/name] and [name]Owen[/name]. It might not be Scottish but the UK-all stars effect isn’t as jarring as, I dunno, Matisyahu would be. And [name]Alasdair[/name] is a bit close to [name]Alexander[/name] anyway.
I love the boy name, but [name]Cameron[/name] kind of throws me for a loop ([name]LOVE[/name] [name]Finley[/name] for a girl, though!) - perhaps a girlier name? That sounds so terrible, but I don’t know that two “unisex” names work, for me. Also, is the ‘a’ middle just a boy thing, for you? Good luck!
Definitely this. [name]Finley[/name] [name]Cameron[/name] is totally boy to me. Try something [name]Cameron[/name] [name]Ariel[/name], or [name]Cameron[/name] [name]Ariana[/name]. Something very feminine. If I was named [name]Finley[/name] [name]Cameron[/name] with two older borothers, I’d feel like my parents expected/wanted a boy and were too lazy/uncaring to pick a really girl’s name.
[name]Miles[/name] [name]Anderson[/name] is great.
[name]Ariel[/name] is a boy’s name to me, lol. [name]Ariella[/name] or [name]Arielle[/name] are pretty for a girl though.
As a Scot living in the Highlands I have too agree that Finley Cameron screams boy.
I do know a few Owens locally so i guess it is being used as a Scottish name so it does fit the theme, Miles on the otherhand really isn’t a Scottish name at all so it really depends how important the theme is too you, it does sound good with Graham and Owen.
