I have a list for both sexes, along with a few names that aren’t gender specific… I’m having trouble narrowing down my list and coming up with names that flow well together.
When I had my first child, [name_u]Sterling[/name_u], his name stuck with me throughout my pregnancy and was one of the only names that was in my top 5 the entire time, so I gave in a chose it. His full name is [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] [name_u]Evan[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. I like how his middle names are more common to help balance such a strong uncommon first name and they flow well together. It doesn’t sound too choppy. [name_m]Robert[/name_m] is a family name and I would like one middle name to have family meaning for my next child.
I would also like to keep the two middle name pattern.
Here are my contenders, but I am open to new names!
Boys:
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] --[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] but I am having such a hard time trying to figure out what middle names to pair with this to make the names flow well
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] --strong and not over used, but Im not sold. SO likes it
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] --heard this as a child and fell in love
[name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] --[name_u]LOVE[/name_u]
[name_m]Harrington[/name_m]
[name_u]Chandler[/name_u]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u] --I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this as a boys name. I saw this on a boy on the voice this year and loved it.
[name_m]Foster[/name_m]
Middle names:
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]
[name_m]Clark[/name_m]
[name_m]Fisher[/name_m]
[name_m]Stephen[/name_m]
[name_m]David[/name_m] --only one that is not a family name)
[name_m]Stephen[/name_m]
[name_u]Ray[/name_u]
[name_m]Paul[/name_m]
Girls:
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] --LOVE nickname Nellie
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] LOVE. Sterling was supposed to be a girl at first and this was going to be his name.
[name_f]Annaleigh[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] --As long as people didnt call her Carol.
[name_f]Johanna[/name_f] --my grandmothers name was Joanne. This could also be a middle name.
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] – I am loving boy names on girls latel
Middle name:
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] for my grandmother
Ive always wanted to honor my mother by naming my child after her in someway, but her name is Pamela Gail. -.- Any ideas how I could work a middle name in to honor her?
OPEN TO IDEAS!!!
I love [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] [name_u]Evan[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]! You have two very nice lists going…
For girls I like these 4 the best with [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]…
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]- this is my sisters name and she dislikes [name_f]Carol[/name_f] as well. So she sometimes goes by [name_f]Carrie[/name_f]. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], or [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f].
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]- love this! The nn [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] is too cute as well! [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f], or [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f].
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]- I do love [name_f]Nellie[/name_f]! [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], or [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f].
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u]- I prefer this on a girl. I like this one the most. [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Paige[/name_f], or [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].
For boys I like these four the best with [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]…
[name_m]Fletcher[/name_m]- this is my favorite with [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]! I could easily see the nn [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], but this name can easily go without a nn. [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] or [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m].
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]- I have always liked this name with the nn [name_u]Sully[/name_u]!! A close second for me out of your list. [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] or [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u] [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_u]Ray[/name_u].
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]- I really like this on name on a boy! [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m], or [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m],
[name_u]Chandler[/name_u]- gotta love Friends [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m], or [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m].
Here are some suggestions of my own…
[name_f]Caralyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]- nn [name_u]Josie[/name_u] or [name_u]Jo[/name_u]
[name_f]Lenora[/name_f]- nn [name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u]
I’m not so keen on [name_m]Leo[/name_m] with brother [name_u]Sterling[/name_u], I think some of the more uncommon options would be better such as [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] and [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m], which are my favourites. I do love [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], especially on a boy but is it a little bland next to [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]? It would be my third favourite.
As for combo’s, how about…
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] [name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] [name_u]Morgan[/name_u] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] [name_m]Stephen[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_m]Thatcher[/name_m] [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
Now on to the girl’s names - I love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] (prefer [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] though), [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], all gorgeous girly names. I don’t think [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] would go very well with [name_u]Sterling[/name_u], they are very similar and I’d assume brothers!
I think [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is a fabulous middle name, while [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] would work as a way to honour your mother so maybe a combo such as [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]?
(I just want to say that I think [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] [name_u]Evan[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] is an incredibly handsome name.)
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] would be my pick from your boys names, followed by [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], but out of those names [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] seems like it would fit best with [name_u]Sterling[/name_u]. [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_u]Ray[/name_u] and [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Clark[/name_m] are my picks.
For girls, I don’t think [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] works well with [name_u]Sterling[/name_u], but [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] balances [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] perfectly. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is lovely. To honor your mother, maybe you could do same beginning and end initials? Such as Penelope Grace [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].
Despite that, you can’t go wrong with most of those names. Good luck finding the perfect name!
