Keira vs. Cora

So I am leaning towards [name]Keira[/name], but my husband likes [name]Cora[/name]. She will be joining her big brother [name]Connor[/name] and sister [name]Charlotte[/name]. [name]Cora[/name] fits the “C” theme which I don’t think is essential but I also think [name]Cora[/name] is really close to [name]Connor[/name]. Uggg…what do you all think?

I like [name]Cora[/name] better of the two and I don’t think it’s so close to [name]Connor[/name]. What about [name]Coralie[/name] nn [name]Cora[/name] or [name]Cory[/name] though? If you do that it makes the name a little more distinctive.

I like [name]Keira[/name] a whole lot better than [name]Cora[/name]. They both have the same starting sound so either way you get the same sound if it makes a difference.

I prefer [name]Cora[/name], definitely! I think [name]Connor[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], and [name]Cora[/name] are very sweet together, especially [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] stylistically. I also love the idea of [name]Coralie[/name] nn [name]Cora[/name]! [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Coralie[/name] is adorable.

I generally prefer [name]Cora[/name], but I like [name]Keira[/name] better here. I do think [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] look and sound a bit too similar where [name]Keira[/name] adds a new sound to the mix.

I like [name]Cora[/name] more personally but, with a brother named [name]Connor[/name] I would go with [name]Keira[/name]. [name]Cora[/name]/[name]Connor[/name] is just too matchy for me.

I would stay with the ‘C’ theme since you already have two with that. You could go with [name]Coraline[/name] instead if you like that better.

I like [name]Keira[/name] better, personally. Would you be ok with making it [name]Ciara[/name] or [name]Chiara[/name] to fit with the C theme?

I like [name]Cora[/name] better, but given the names of your other two children, I really hope you choose [name]Keira[/name]. I hate to be negative, but I have a profound dislike of matchy sibling names and sibsets that all begin with the same letter.

I like [name]Cora[/name] a lot better than [name]Keira[/name], but I think it’s more important to stick to the C theme, now that you’ve got 2 kids with C names. And I agree with you, I think [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Connor[/name] are too similar. [name]Ciera[/name]? [name]Ciara[/name]? [name]Claire[/name]? [name]Clara[/name]? Also, one of my friends, a girl, is named [name]Ciaran[/name] - pronounced like [name]Kieran[/name] (kyee-ran). That might be a nice choice. [name]Hope[/name] this helps

I like [name]Keira[/name] better with the other names. I wouldn’t worry about keeping with the C theme; in my family, my sister and I have names that start with T but our younger brother and sister have names that start with R and L. Never gotten any weird reactions or comment about it.

I like [name]Kiera[/name] better but I vastly prefer the [name]Ciara[/name] spelling, it just looks smoother to me. I think how close [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Connor[/name] are depends on how you pronounce [name]Cora[/name] - Core-ah (like an apple core) or [name]Corra[/name] (kind of rhymes with horror) - if you use the first I don’t think they’re too close but if you use the second you might want reconsider the name.

As much as I love [name]Cora[/name], I like [name]Keira[/name] better with [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name]. [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] have different C sounds, so I don’t think using [name]Keira[/name], which is with a K, but uses a C sound, wouldn’t match.

[name]Keira[/name] is my choice.

[name]Cora[/name] is definitely much prettier than [name]Keira[/name] in my opinion. But all the girls named [name]Keira[/name] I’ve known have been awful, so my view is probably skewed.

[name]Ciara[/name] might be an option for you? It fits the C theme and is the original Irish spelling. It’s far less common too.

I chose [name]Keira[/name] over [name]Cora[/name]. I agreed that [name]Cora[/name] is close to [name]Connor[/name].

I am not normally a huge fan of name themes, but since you already have two with a C I would stick with it. I would go with [name]Coraline[/name] and nn her [name]Cora[/name].

I think you should stick with the “c” theme. [name]Cora[/name] is ok but what about [name]Chloe[/name]-so pretty!
