I honestly only remember three names total that I really loved as a kid (like, under 10). So I guess I’m having a [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f], [name_m]Benedict[/name_m], and [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f]. [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] is really the only one I still like!
[name_f]My[/name_f] name style has definitely evolved so much over time. And while I still like these names, none of them would be my own personal top contenders
[name_f][/name_f]
Juliahna (this specific spelling rather than [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] or [name_f]Julianna[/name_f] for some reason) [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Lacey[/name_f] (as a kid I thought I made this up on my own [name_f][/name_f]- like I remember looking at shoelaces when trying to think of names for my dolls and Lace-e came to mind) [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Savannah[/name_f] (with [name_f]Savvy[/name_f] as her nickname)
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Colin[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]James[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Robert[/name_m] (solely because my grandpa had passed when I was young and as a kid I wanted my son to have the same first name as him [name_f][/name_f]- would still use [name_m]Robert[/name_m] as a middle though)
[name_f][/name_f]
Also crazy thinking about how different my style or girl vs boy names was !!!
oh! i recall being rather little and liking a lot of the names i’d find in my storybooks; particularly [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f][name_f][/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] and [name_f]Rainbow[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]! but the early years of my teens had me falling for [name_f]Patience[/name_f][name_f][/name_f], [name_m]Chance[/name_m][name_f][/name_f] and [name_m]Beau[/name_m][name_f][/name_f]. and by my late teens i had begun to grow rather fond of [name_m]Casper[/name_m][name_f][/name_f], [name_f]Darcy[/name_f][name_f][/name_f] and [name_m]Spencer[/name_m][name_f][/name_f].
[name_f][/name_f]
i still have a soft spot for the latter three but i’m not so fussed on the others anymore!
I was diehard for [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] as a wean, and then there’s no change with [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]— been my fave boy since I was 6 and I’m not turning back now
[name_f][/name_f]
as for a third though… the only other one I can really vividly remember from pre-secondary school was being briefly obsessed with the life & adventures of my sim [name_f]Candy[/name_f]
As a child, I didn’t have much exposure to [name_f]English[/name_f] names. I probably would have chosen very popular and classic Portuguese names for my children. Those were some of my favorite names when I was in elementary school / middle school.
[name_f][/name_f]
As a little girl, the first international names I discovered and adored were [name_m]Ashley[/name_m], [name_f]Melanie[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Melody[/name_f], [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f], [name_f]Destiny[/name_f], and [name_f]Yasmin[/name_f]. For boys, my preferences were more timeless. I really liked [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_m]James[/name_m], [name_m]John[/name_m], and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], for example. Aside from that, I’ve always been enchanted by unique word names like [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f], [name_f]Agatha[/name_f], and [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f], but I don’t think I ever would have considered them in real life. Sadly, I also never found the perfect middle names or sibling matches for them during my childhood.
[name_f][/name_f]
When I started exploring naming websites and forums, I became obsessed with [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], and [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
[name_f][/name_f]
Since then, I believe my list of top choices has remained quite consistent.
I didn’t like any boy names at all, so it will be three fem names for me: [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Chelsea[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Michaela[/name_f] [name_f]Erin[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
80/90’s vibes except for [name_f]Freya[/name_f] which I probably read in my mum’s Book Of [name_f]Baby[/name_f] Names.
I’ll say as a child being like 12 or under, right? [name_f][/name_f] A lot of the names that I liked as a teen, I still like, so that doesn’t seem as challenging!
I think that I still love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] enough to use, even though it’s my mom’s cat’s name. [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Austin[/name_m] & [name_f]Daria[/name_f] are names that I like okay, but definitely not on the love enough to consider using list.
