The original “C” spelling of [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] just looks better to me. [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] just loses its Irish charm. There is no “K” in the Irish language. I’m of Irish heritage so Anglicizations of Irish names may bother me than others.

I don’t mind [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] but I like the look of [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] much more. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it’s pronounced the same, the C seems too soften it up a bit. Very handsome.

As for initials (if that matters to you), KXK vs CXK – i think i like C better here too because K looks kind of similar to X anyway, so KXK looks a bit crowded and too close to KKK for comfort for me! :slight_smile:
