I know most people think Kimbal is a strange name, especially for a boy. However, I can’t seem to shake it off. It’s always been on the top of my list and now I’m seriously considering using it.
Give me your thoughts please.
The name is especially significant to me because of ‘[name_u]Kim[/name_u]’, the protagonist of [name_m]Rudyard[/name_m] [name_m]Kipling[/name_m]'s book. Is it nutty that I love the nickname [name_u]Kim[/name_u] for a boy?
I know an adult man named [name_u]Kim[/name_u], but just the one. I think it’s unique and cute. For my own taste I would probably prefer [name_m]Kip[/name_m] or [name_u]Kit[/name_u], but I don’t think it’s nutty at all!
I’m personally not a fan of the nickname [name_u]Kim[/name_u], getting mistaken for a girl would get tiring after a while.
Then again if you love the name on its own, you could call him [name_m]Kal[/name_m] too.
It’s a bit too “weird” for my tastes, though I find it usable because of the familiar [name_u]Kim[/name_u]- syllable and the -al ending the reminds me of [name_m]Percival[/name_m]
I actually love [name_u]Kim[/name_u] for a boy (spent a lot of time look for names that could shorten to it a while back with no luck). [name_m]Kimbal[/name_m] nn [name_u]Kim[/name_u] is very handsome [name_f]IMO[/name_f], but [name_m]Kipling[/name_m] also honors the book and nn [name_m]Kip[/name_m] may be more widely accepted. If [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] can be a first why not [name_m]Kipling[/name_m]? Either way I don’t think you could go wrong.
It makes me think of [name_m]Kimball[/name_m] Cho from the mentalist. I don’t see anything wrong with it, I think there are a lot worse names for boys. [name_u]Kim[/name_u] is a sweet nickname. I think if you love it, you should use it
Hmm I think [name_u]Kim[/name_u] is dated on a girl and I can’t really see it on a boy. There’s actually a girl in my gymnastics club named [name_m]Kimball[/name_m] but I could totally see [name_m]Kimbal[/name_m] working for a boy! It always sounded a little weird to me so the name is nms.
