I’ve only heard of one guy named [name]Kirby[/name]. It’s been baffling me for years now, and I’m just wondering if there’s something special there that I’m missing, or am I not alone on this one?

I’d guess it’s not used much because it’s cutesy and because of the Nintendo game. It’s a surname, I know a [name]Kirbey[/name] family. Because of [name]Kirby[/name] Puckett I think of it as a cool baseball name: [name]Kirby[/name], [name]Satchel[/name], [name]Ty[/name], [name]Sandy[/name], [name]Mickey[/name]
For me it’s either a surname (here in Australia of a prominent former high court judge) or a girls name. I can’t really see it for a boy.

I know a voice actor named [name]Kirby[/name], and I’m in love with his voice … just don’t know how I feel about his name.

I have only met one [name]Kirby[/name] and she was an adorable big eyed little girl. I thought her name was so cool. I think at that time I was 12 and she was about 6, lol, so that could have had an impact too.

It’s a nay for me, because I find it very cutesy and it’s hard to envision on an adult. It’s a lot of fun to say [name]Kirby[/name], though! But for me, it’s best left as a surname.
I’m sorry but it was my dog’s name and two street names I came across so those associations have ruined it as a human name for me. It’s a no.
No. In the UK we call hair pins kirby grips. Also,it doesn’t sound like a real word,never mind a name (to me,personally).

I knew a guy who used it as a nickname. I think it’d be ok for that. And it may be cute on a little boy up until about 8. After that I think a guy would hate it. I definitely can’t see it on an adult male.
It’s way too cutesy to wear as an adult male. It’d be cute on a little boy but I really can’t see it on a teen or grown man. Aside from the video game character or on a pet, I could maaaaybe see it on a girl. still not a fan though.

This guy is the reason I’ve been questioning the name <3 lol It’s still hard, I don’t think I can ever love it … one day it might end up as a guilty pleasure.

I can only picture the video game character, I’m afraid, even though I’m not into video games at all. [name]Kirby[/name] is all round, pink, and squealy to me, and I end up really not liking the name for either sex.

I’ve only known one Kirby, a boy. I went to high school with him and I remember when he said his name I thought it was strange/ not professional but interesting. I don’t really like it tbh. It makes me think video game. I especially dislike it for a girl even more though.
