šŸ•°ļø Kit for a girl

Looking for thoughts on baby girl name Kit.

Middle name thoughts include Kit Cordelia and Kit Caroline but I would love other suggestions!

Sisterā€™s name is Belle Vivenneā€¦
Belle & Kit sibset.

One of my favorites! [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].

I think thatā€™s really pretty! And with Belle as a sibling, they sound like theyā€™re in a indie band or sisters in an Austen novel.

I probably wouldnā€™t go for a K/C middle (ie alliteration) especially with such a short first (though I do love the rhythm of Kit Cordelia or (better, I think) Kit Cordelie - which gives you Ceci and possibly Coco as nnā€™s). Kit Caroline is slightly easier to say than Kit Cordelia. Edit: just be aware that might get Kitty Cat with say Kit Caroline. But could get it whichever middle.

I would go something like:

Kit Josephine
Kit Evangeline
Kit Penelope
Kit Genevieve
Kit Beatrice
Kit Romilly
Kit Francine
Kit Marianne
Kit Madeline

And I would consider as first names with nn Kit (if you think kid needs some more options as an adult, they may not!):

Kitty
Catherine/Katherine
Kinneret
Kristen
Keturah
Colette/Cosette
Constance
Clotilda

[name_m]Kit[/name_m] is snappy, cool and fun. Itā€™s got a carefree vibe, but also feels charming and solid.

[name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is balanced is lovely - I like that a lot.

If Iā€™m being honest, [name_m]Kit[/name_m] and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] arenā€™t a sister set Iā€™d expect as [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] feels very distinctly feminine, pretty and sleek, whereas [name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] feels more gender neutral, sparky and fun. Does that mean they canā€™t they make a bad set? No - I think it would be cool, would stop you getting tied into one naming style, and if she wants something more feminine, thereā€™s [name_f]Kitty[/name_f] as a nickname?

A few other middles:

[name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]
[name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Marianne[/name_f]
[name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]

I quite like it! Had not considered it as a standalone girl name before but it feels fresh & cool

I love [name_m]Kit[/name_m]! I think it works as a full first name (as opposed to a nn) when paired with a feminine middle like [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], etc. I am a big fan of alliteration, so [name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is gorgeous to me! [name_m]Kit[/name_m] feels fairly timeless but more modern on a girl, so it works on a person of any age!

[name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is amazing!!

I hadnā€™t ever considered [name_m]Kit[/name_m] as a female name, but [name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is gorgeous! [name_m]Kit[/name_m] & [name_f]Belle[/name_f] sound like a spunky little pair of sisters!

I love [name_m]Kit[/name_m] for a girl! One of my closest friends is a [name_m]Kit[/name_m] šŸ©·

The K/C of [name_m]Kit[/name_m] C____ is a bit clunky, especially with the sharpness of the t. But I find [name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] really fun!

So IMO [name_m]Kit[/name_m] is a tad out of place when with [name_f]Belle[/name_f] because [name_f]Belle[/name_f] evokes more whimsy/elegance and [name_m]Kit[/name_m] is more to-the-point and earthy. But if you like that contrast, thatā€™s great then!

I would go with [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] over [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].

[name_f]Belle[/name_f] & [name_m]Kit[/name_m] are a cute set!

[name_m]Kit[/name_m] Romelia

[name_m]Kit[/name_m] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is so kickass cool :crossed_swords:

I actually have never thought of [name_m]Kit[/name_m] as a stand-alone name for a girl before. Iā€™ve always thought [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] ā€˜Kitā€™ however I actually really like [name_m]Kit[/name_m]. The name feels spunky, energetic and ever so cool. I agree with @EloiseT [name_m]Kit[/name_m] + [name_f]Belle[/name_f] have such an [name_f]Indie[/name_f] band meet the [name_m]Austen[/name_m] sisters very very charming. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though just like @Greyblue I wouldnā€™t automatically pair them together as Bell3 Vivienn3 is very feminine whereas [name_m]Kit[/name_m] does lack that femininity I like the pairing.

Youā€™ve had lots of lovely middle name suggestions so please count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries
